The Mafia (The D'Amore series)

When the police officers pulled up in the car park at the police station, they all got out. Angel could see from the corner of her eye Luca and Alex were also getting out of their car. The officers Sebastian Garcia but in fact his last name was Cangussu (cousins to Rafael) and Rodrigo Da Rosa. Since Sebastian found out that Rafael went missing and all his men had been killed all hell broke loose, he wanted to find who did it. Sebastian was the next in line to take over from Rafael and he wasn't happy that his cousin might never see the light of day again and he was right because Rafael had died a few days ago. Diego was still alive but barely.

Rodrigo Da Rosa happened to be Sebastian's right-hand man, so let's just say he wasn't happy either. They were acting as officers so they could question Angel about the whereabouts of Rafael. Angel had never seen these two before but that didn't change how she felt about the feeling she had deep down in her stomach. Rodrigo took her arm roughly and took her into the police station. Luca had seen what he did, and it was making him very angry by the second. The 'Officers' took her into an interrogation room and threw her into the chair.

Fletcher Collins the sheriff noticed that the two transfers officers bringing her in then he turns to see a very angry Luca D'Amore, and Alex Fontana walk in. "Mr. D'Amore. Mr. Fontana what can I do for you two gentlemen today?" He asks since he knew the two very well since Collins pays protection money to them. Yeah, it was all corrupt.

"Two of your men just brought in a woman, Angel Wilson" Luca used her adopted name since everyone knew the Moretti's.

"They were at the driveway, were they not?" Sheriff asks as Luca nods once.

"Yep, but I don't see anyone else being brought in here. Do you?" Luca asks as sheriff Collins shakes his head.

"I'll see what I can do. Take a seat" With a nod Collins walks off towards where the officers were.

Officer Garcia/Cangussu sat in the chair with his arms folded glaring at Angel as Officer Da Rosa asked her questions about what had happen today at the restaurant. They even asked her if she wanted anything to drink, but she knew if she drinks something that they gave her, they will have her DNA, so she said no. Every time Da Rosa asked her a question, she answered them but kept her eyes on Garcia who hadn't taken his eyes off of her and it was making her angry.

Collins had come back to tell Luca that they wanted to ask her questions about what happen since she saw a car drove away fast from the scene, but it has been over an hour now. Luca was going crazy 'it shouldn't take thing long' he thought to himself.

The officer's had been sitting there facing Angel, just staring at her. She thought it was weird, but she didn't make a sound again they asked her if she wanted a drink but of course she said no and that is when Officer Garcia spoke up.

"So, Angel, have you been to Brazil recently?" She thought that was a weird question to ask so she kept her mouth shut. She also thought of her father telling her about the Mafia's code of silence Omerta. Never rat out on your family.

He asked her again but again she kept quiet. Garcia got up and walked around the table to stand behind Angel, but she kept her eyes forward staring at Da Rosa. She had grown to don't be afraid of what people did. Garcia sighed as he speaks "You see Angel, we believe you were in Brazil about 2-3 weeks ago." He places his hands on her shoulders.

"Well, I'm sorry but I was here" Was all she said, she could hear the growl that was coming Garcia.

"You know I will find him Angel, mark my words."

"I have no idea what you are talking about" she says.

"I think you do sweetheart; I can see why he liked you very much" Da Rosa says as he licks his lips as Garcia lets go of my shoulders walking back to stand in front of her, next to Da Rosa.

"You see Angel, we believe that you were at one of the auctions and you decided to go for a little run but of course you got caught. You became Rafael's little pet. We just want to know what you did to him, because now I can't seem to find my dear cousin" Garcia says as a smirk spreads across Angel's face evilly. "I would wipe that smirk off your pretty little face sweetheart. You have no idea what I can do to you" he says as she kept that smirk on her face, closing her eyes seeing and hearing Rafael yell in pain as she opened her eyes, she saw red she wanted blood.

"What the fuck have you done to him!" Garcia slams his fists into the table.

"You want to know what I did to him?" She asks just staring at Da Rosa tilting her head to the side, still having that god damn smirk on her face. They stared silently but Da Rosa leaned forward enough for him to be in her reach. "I tied him up, now he was my pet.  I left him for days going hungry in my basement. Man don't get me wrong he was hot, but I have better..." she chuckles smirking she could see their faces get angrier by the second, but she never told the end of the story. Angel grabbed Da Rosa by the hair and slams his head hard into the steel desk knocking him out cold as she quickly got up grabbing her steel chair and swung it at Garcia. As she jumped over the table as Garcia went down to the floor punching him right in the jaw grabbing his head a slammed it into the floor really hard knocking him out cold too.

She finally lets out a shaky breath as she searches the two men for ID's. 'Officer' Garcia was in fact a Cangussu and he was Rafael's cousin, and the other 'officer' was Rodrigo Da Rosa. Angel quickly got both their guns tucking them into the back of her jeans as she stood up from them unlocking the door and closing it behind her.

She immediately saw Luca pacing up and down, she ran over to him as he snaps his eyes up seeing her pulling her into his arms holding her close. "Get me the fuck out of here, quick" He looks down at her and nods once pulling her out of the police station and into the car with Alex. She throws the IDs of the two men to Alex as he sat in the back of the car as Luca drove back to the estate.

"They weren't real cops, fakes. One was Rafael's cousin. I knocked them both out that's how I got out. I knew if I didn't, they were going to take me again." Angel says staring out the window   as Luca grabbed her hand after she lights a cigarette to calm her down as Luca's other hand was on the steering wheel turned white with angry.

"I will look into who they are immediately when we get back" Alex says looking over the ID's.

The whole ride back to the estate when quiet, Angel was too shaky to realize what had just happen back there. She just wanted this day to be over with, but she knew this was only the beginning of a war.
