Bakugo [POV]

I pulled out my phone slowly dialing Deku's number.  It only rang once before going to voicemail Deku's cheerful voice on the recording

"Hi this is Izuku Midoriya I'm not here to take your call right now but leave a message and I'll try to call you back as soon as possible" The message said before beeping

"Nothing" I shook my head

"It barely even rang like he purposely declined the call" Todoroki pointed out I held up my hand to shush him as the phone beeped again to leave a message

"Deku what the hell happened to you earlier why wont you pick up now?" I asked hanging up the the call

"This is all getting to weird for me" Todoroki shook his head in disbelief

"We've been attacked by giant mutant bird things and THIS is to weird for you?" I raised one eyebrow

"They aren't attacking right now so yes it's too weird for me" Todoroki stood up abruptly

"Where are you going?" I asked but received no answer from him.  He went over to the dinning table grabbing the notes from Deku that we had but there.  He read over each one of the letters once more.  He was silent for a long time and I was starting to get concerned 

"The night before he went missing he responded to a crime report in the same place that he wants to meet up with you tonight it was around the same time as well" Todoroki started still looking at the letters

"Yeah I know it was on the news and stuff" I told him unsure where he was  going with this

"He took his hero suit and left he didn't give me many details but said he would tell me when he got home" He shuffled the two papers looking at the first letter

"So?" I raised one eyebrow starting to get irritated with him

"He didn't come back after that so he didn't tell me what was going on and that means he never came back to the apartment that day to return his hero suit.  It was never in the apartment until today" Todoroki looked over at me concern filled his eyes "his suit was even in a pristine condition like it had never been worn and he even noticed how I haven't been doing much hero work so that my suit wouldn't be dirty or torn"

"Where are you going with this?" I asked

"He wanted me to continue doing hero work in the first letter talking about how he was looking for something" he switched to the second letter "I said that the two names are smudged out here but I think this one is addressed to you 'Kacchan' specifically he wanted you to read that one.  Somehow he knew you would come with me to our apartment and left one to you as well" he put the letters back down on the table

"He knows me like the back of his hand and I hate to admit it but it's true" I explained to him

"There must be a reason why he took out my hero costume and why he returned his" Todoroki mumbled walking out of the room into his bedroom.  He didn't come out for a while.  When he did he came out with his hero costume in one hand and the other a folded up letter

"Another letter?" I asked

"Midoriya is smart and clever he doesn't do things for no reason but I think he more wanted me to find this one when I continued my hero work" Todoroki laid his hero costume down on the table unfolding the letter carefully

"What does it say?" I asked

"Dear Shoto, I hope that if you're finding this you have went back to your hero work and if you are that makes me very happy.  I don't know how much longer I plan to be gone but I know I will come back.  It would make me extremely happy to find out you did and maybe we will be able to find each other again like in the sports festival you found me in a pure challenge but I don't want you to challenge me again and I don't want you to find me because I know you Shoto I know you'll want to look for me when you find the rest of my letters and if things go wrong we might even be reunited again my prince.  I remember everything you told me except for that night that I left.  I remember me getting ready and you giving me a shopping list to pick up when I came back.  You winked at me reassuring me that it was only a joke that you weren't entirely serious.  You asked me to pick up milk but I never got around to it and I see that you had to get it yourself and I want to apologize for that.  I even remember you wanting to come with me but I told you it would be easy and I' be back before morning but I lied.  I'm still not back.  I remember going behind the alleyway with a bad feeling in my gut.  I wanted to call you but I figured you'd be asleep and you need all the sleep that you can get so I decided to go on.  Shoto I shouldn't have left I should have listened to you and let you come with me.  I couldn't do it on my own but I'm glad that I didn't let you come with me because then you might be in the same situation as me.  My friends only memories not being able to see them again except for on the news and I miss you the most my prince and even though I remember you the best.  The way you would come into my room in the middle of the night when you couldn't sleep because your insomnia or you were stressed about something again.  I would let you lay down with me and let you play with my hair until you fell asleep.  I will never forget those nights no matter how much it hurts to remember them.  But Shoto no matter how much I miss you I can't see you and I can't talk to you in person, now now not while I'm like this and you're how you are.  I know you miss me as well but you can't look for me you can't come after me or you'll get hurt.  They have a way of doing things stealing the most important things from you and hiding it far away I've changed and my dear Shoto Todoroki if you come find me there is nothing in my power I can do to stop myself in that situation they've used my memories of you to toy with me.  If you find me Shoto I want you to know that this time you won't be the one challenging me because I've already challenged you" Todoroki read shaking his head "I don't really understand what he;s implying by telling about moments and memories I just don't get it"

"Okay from that letter you still want me to believe that the two of you had nothing going on?" I raised an eyebrow

"Now is not the time Bakugo" he snapped folding the letter back up

"He calls you by your first name and calls you his prince, no, nothing was going on between you two I call bull crap" I exclaimed

"Don't start this Bakugo It's not like you and Kirishima don't have a thing going on either that would absurd" Todoroki rolled his eyes sitting down at the tables the letters all in one pile his hero costume in a bunch on the other side of the table.  I looked at the clock on the wall it was 7:30 now.

"I'm going to ignore that you said anything about that right now because I need to go its getting close to when we're meeting and I still have to stop back at my apartment" I explained to him

"Yeah, Yeah" Todoroki buried his face in his hands exhausted

"I'll talk to you tomorrow" I promised him as I left though I didn't hear his response
