Eyes

Nothing seems right. I can't remember. Who am I? What am I doing?
I can't breathe.
I can't see... I just have to keep running.
What is it I want? Who am I?
What is... my wish?
Vitality... prayers to be heard... what does it all mean? Was it all just worthless?
Who am I? Who am I?
What do I do? Where do I go?
My feet bumped so many walls in the dark, my routes limited.
What am I running from? What the hell is this place?
Help me. Help me. Help me.
Mom. Dad. Someone. Come save me.
I miss you.
I'm sorry I'm not strong enough to fend off a kidnapper.
Forgive me.
Forgive me.
God, please.
Let them know I'm sorry.
My eyes were blinded by the shadows, my breaths echoeing off the walls, heart racing in my chest. Paranoia was my friend, nipping at my heels. Was someone there? Who is it?
I don't lie. I told them I was fine. Yet I still left the house tonight. Someone hear me.
Someone save me.
A name. The name. That name. What is my name? Who the fuck am I?

Tell me if there's something I can do. Where should I go? My will is shattering with each step, a fragment falling behind the farther I run. The air is getting thin, and a strange stench fills my lungs. My body, growing weak, holds a heart that beats. It beats quickly enough for 20 people going into cardiac arrest. Is that how scared I am? Is my heart trying to tell me something.
"Please!" I cried. "What do you want with me?!"
My screams echoed into nothingness, but a new pair of footsteps emerged behind me.
"I'm sorry!" I cried, feeling tears fall from my eyes.
The darkness enveloped my body, a burning sensation igniting over my skin as I hit the floor.
A dream. A dream. Let me know I'm dreaming. I beg you. Please.
The footsteps stopped behind me.
I can't lie. I'm awake. I'm not dreaming.
Arms and hands gripped my limp body, yanking me upright. With each second, my body burned like a bonfire where they met my skin. It hurt. Yet I couldn't make a sound or say a word. I couldn't move.
Warmth accompsnied by a smothering aroma covered my face.
The air disappeared altogether.
The darkness of the abandoned night took me into its isolating hold.
Praying for my wish.
