Her little flaw (Chapter 14)

"C-Come c-closer and I'll..I'll shoot." Daiki slowly side stepped to one of the men and took another gun from his holster. She raised both hands pointing the gun at the noble. The children were still cowering at the corner.

"M-Mama. Mama." Ryutaro wrapped his arms around Daiki's waist urging her to come closer to them.

The noble picked up the necklace and their garments and they all left the room.

"M-Mama!"

"Shhh. Everything will be fine. You're father will find us." She hugged the children and checked on Yuto who was still unconscious. The bleeding had stopped but Ryosuke helped Daiki fix the boy to avoid any serious damage.

She fought the urge to throw up seeing two dead men infront of them.

"Nobody knows that my family is coming to London except for the two of you and the people in the headquarters. Also, they abducted my family in broad daylight. The time when I was not with them."

"You mean.."

"Somebody else is working in the shadows."

"There's a mole among us."

"Colonel, what is your decision?"

Kota looked at his lieutenant. "We'll proceed with the plan."

"W-What about Lady Daiki and the children?"

"We've come this far. I can only pray that they're safe. Right now, only our trusted people will have to work with us. Yuya, mobilize them without breaking any chains of command and....avoid suspicion."

"Yes, Colonel.''

"Hikaru, send someone to Dorset and make sure Lady Kei and Lady Keito are safe."

"Yes, colonel." The younger left his superiors.

"Yuto, niichan?" Yuri rubbed her eyes when she felt her brother moved.

"Y-Yuri?"

"Nii-chan!" Yuri glomped at her brother who winced.

"Are you alright?"

"I-I'm scared, niichan."

Yuto slowly sat up and winced from time to time. He saw his older sister and little brother sleeping. He looked confused to see their step mother sleeping on the floor with guns in her hand.Then he realized something when he saw the dead men on the floor. He hugged Yuri to not let the girl get scared further.

They both looked up when the door clicked. They were startled when Daiki immediately sat up and pointed the guns at the door. Two men entered and dragged the dead men outside.

"N-Nee-chan. I'm hungry." Little Ryutaro sniffed.

"J-Just hold on a little bit Ryu. Papa will find us, alright?"

"B-But I'm really hungry."

"M-Me to, nee-chan. I'm hungry and thirsty." Yuri bit her lips but Yuto took his sister on his lap.

"Just a bit more Yuri. Then, I'll give you all the food that you want."

"P-Promise?"

"Promise."

"M-Mama?" Ryosuke called her step-mother.

"Y-yes dear?"

"Are you alright?"

"Yes."

"Y-You haven't slept well since last night. Please rest."

"No. I will rest only when I'm dead and that you're all out of this place." Daiki sternly looked at the door.
