The man focused on Daiki. Lady Daiki could still feel Ryosuke.
''Welcome, my lord. My husband didn't tell me of your arrival.'' Lady Daiki bowed to the man.
''I am Yabu Daiki. Children, pay your respects to your grandfather.'' The children did what they were told.
''Daiki?''
''Yes, my lord.''
''Well, my daughter-in-law.'' The man closed their distance to kiss her cheek. Ryosuke shuddered at the sight but Yuto gripped her shoulders and steadied her.
''And it seems that I'm going to have another grandchild, so delightful.''
''Thank you.''
''Ah, my princess! You're now a big girl. Ryosuke, beautiful as always and Yuto, woah! You're so tall!''
''Kota's at work?'' The man looked around.
''He's away on a mission, my lord.''
''Please, call me father.''
''F-father?''
''Yes, child. Afterall, you're my daughter-in-law.'' Lady Daiki beamed in delight.
''T-Thank you.'' Ryosuke and Yuto shared the same fear as they looked at each other.
Ryosuke heard a faint knock on her door. She hesitated a bit but she still opened it then she grabbed Yuto inside and locked it again. Their father has a rule of not locking their doors but Yuto and Ryosuke wouldn't follow this time.
''Yuto, I don't like this. I don't like this at all.''
''Calm down, Ryosuke. You're making him suspicious.''
''I can't calm down.''
''You're going to put us all in-danger Ryosuke!''
''But I'm scared!'' She hissed at her brother. Yuto embraced her tightly.
''It won't happen again. We have to know his reason for coming back.''
''Yuto, what about mama?''
''I'll handle it. Ryosuke. Rest for now and again..calm down, alright?''
Ryosuke nodded. She kept herself locked inside the room when Yuto left. She had a sleepless night but she made a decision to help Yuto and keep them all away from harm.
''Hmm. Smell's good.'' Daiki beamed when she reached the dining area and found the table prepared.
''Good morning, mama.'' Ryosuke smiled happily and kissed her mother-in-law.
''You prepared all of these?''
''Yes!''
''Woaah!'' Yuri and Ryutaro ran around the table to check on the food. Lord Yabu was also delighted to see the food Ryosuke prepared.
''I don't want the servants to serve you just anything grandpa, that's why I took the initiative to prepare them.'' Yuto looked at his sister.
''Very well, let's eat!''
Yuto purposely sat beside Ryosuke and squeezed her cold hand under the table.
''Don't give Yuta a hard time and study well, alright?''
''Yes, mama!!'' Daiki chuckled to see the children race to get to their classroom.
''I'll be back later to prepare your snacks, mama.''
''You don't have to dear, the servants can do it for me.''
''No way! I will prepare the best snacks for you.''
