THE DOBERMAN

THERE once was a lonely old man
Who everyone thought was aloof
But the hard truth was
He wasn't bulletproof

There once was a lonely old man
Who asked God for a true friend
Time passed by, and God gave him
A doberman in the end

There once was a lonely old man
Who was beginning to smile again
The two played and skipped around
Oh, how they were mend

There once was a lonely old man
Who spoiled the doberman well
Treats and cuddles and walks
His heart was beating red

There once was a lonely old man
Who named the doberman after his son
It's sort of ironic considering
Damien never comes

There once was a lonely old man
Who praised God for his doberman
He sat there in his green armchair
Thinking if he didn't give a damn

There once was a lonely old man
Who started to spit and cough blood
The doberman whined and cried
His greatest fear becoming a thud

There once was a lonely old man
Who is buried six feet beneath
The doberman lays stationed
On the grave with broken teeth
