I rolled over to the other side but this didn't stop my phone from ringing. I threw the pillow on the floor and got up. "Hello?" I said as I glued the phone to my ear. I lazily rubbed my eyes as I patiently waited for the person on the other line to speak something.
"Hey." Cody's fresh voice said. "Cody, wha - do you want?" I yawned in the middle of the senetence which made him chuckle. "I'll pick you up today. I'm not really in the mood to get to school 15 minutes early." He said refering to the time we usually get to school.
We all get to school around 7:45 while our school begins at 8:00. The 15 minutes are usually spent chatting around and stuffing our faces with the cafeteria food. "Soo... why me?" I asked.
"Don't know. We both can hang out. I'll pick you up at 7:30?" he asked.
"Sure." I replied and then we said our quick goodbyes. I checked the time and it was 6:15. I had good 15 minutes to get ready and meet Cody.
I headed to the bathroom and got ready for the day. Today's outfit was a blue t shirt with a pair of jeans.
Exactly at 7:30 I heard the loud horan of Cody's car. Liam was still in bed so I left a note of the kitchen counter for him. I headed outside and approached Cody's car. I got him and greeted. "Hey."
"Hey. You look good." He smiled at me I looked down at my plain outfit. Really?
"So.. where are we going?" I asked him as he started to drive. "It's a surpirse."
"Really? A surpise at 7:30?" I asked unsurely and he nodded. After about good 15 minutes we got to somewhere that was totally not familiar to me.
"What's this place?" I asked him.
"Let's go." He got out of the car and guestured me to come out too. I got outside the car and he walked up to a paved area.
A skating rink got in my sigh. The place was peaceful and empty. Ofcourse. Who would come skating at 7:30?
"You like skating?" He asked me.
"Like?" I laughed. "I've never been to a skating rink before. I don't even know how his thing works." I inwardly slapped myself for not going skating ever before. Liam wasn't really fond of skating, all he ever cared about was football. That's why I had no one to get me to do skating and I myself didnt have any interest in this activity.
"Really?" He asked in shock. "I guess you're the first one that I've seen who doesn't know how to skate."
"Yeah and I don't wanna experience it. It can lead to death." I waved my hand in air.
"Death?" He roared in laughter and I stared at him blankly. "How?" He asked.
"Look. Skating cause people to fall. Falling causes hitting the ground very hard. Hitting the ground very hard leads to bone breaking or injuries and if the injuries are serious you can die. Simple."
"Oh god!" He laughed even louder. "Eva. Nobody dies because of skating okay? Not that I know of anyone who has died because of this thing. We're skating today." He said and my eyes widened widened.
"What! No. I don't wanna skate. I don't wanna fall. I don't wanna die." I took a step back.
"God, Eva! You're not gonna die. I know how to skate and I'll teach you. Trust me it will be an awesome experience." He said and dragged me towards the rink.
He jogged towards his car and took out two rolling skates from the back seat. He wore one and handed me the other. I hesitated before taking it. "Comeon! Truse me. You'll be fine."
I took the skates from his hand and put them on. I tried to get up but failed. I hit the ground -not too hard- and groaned. "I can't get up." I yelled.
