You say you hate me,
I can't blame you.
I hate me too.
I hate you too.
You hate yourself too.
We hate each other and ourselves.
Seems like we're perfect for each other, right?
You and I would've been perfect,
Except we tried and we weren't.
We were better as friends,
But were we ever friends if you can turn so easily on me?
We tried and it didn't work,
And yet you blame me?
Why?
I understand what I did was wrong,
And I said sorry,
And I know sorry isn't enough sometimes,
But maybe you should also take the blame.
Playing victim only works if you are one.
Playing the sore loser only works if there was a winner.
And maybe there was one.
Maybe I came out on top.
Because if we hate each other because of one mistake,
Imagine life if we never learned.
Imagine if this never happened.
We would still be the miserable people pretending to be happy.
We would've had a worse off life.
So I'm glad I made the mistake.
It showed who you really were,
And how heartless I can be,
And I'm fine with being heartless.
Because it means that you are too,
So at least we share that.
