Chapter 25

Haneul stretched and opened her door, ready to go to work. 

She jumped a little when Taehyung stood right in front of her doorway. 

"Hey, what's up?" He said slowly.

"Uh, going to work."

"Where do you work?"

"Coffee shop." She pushed him away ever so slightly. 

"Can I come?" 

"Why?"

"I dunno, cuz I asked to?" 

"I've gotta go. Please don't bother me at work." Haneul finished, noticing Namjoon come up to me. 

"Morning babe." He briefly glanced at Taehyung and quickly pecked her lips.

"Morning, Joon!" She said excitedly. "Let's go. Catch you later." She said to Taehyung.

"What's up with him?" Namjoon asked as soon as they were out of earshot. 

"Don't ask me." Haneul shrugged, grasping his arm.

"Was he flirting?" Namjoon pressed when they arrived in front of the coffee shop.

"Don't ask me!" She repeated a little angrily. "Why should I know what he intends? I don't care for him." 

"Sure whatever." He scowled. 

"Jinja, why are you always so quick to assume the worst?" She entered the shop before him. 

She was struggling to tie her apron, when a pair of arms snaked around her back. "Need help?"

"No!" She said loudly. 

Namjoon leaned to whisper in her ear. "I'm really sorry about what I assumed, Sky. Please forgive?" He lightly massaged her shoulder. 

"How can I not, with you being so cheesy?" Haneul laughed, letting him help her. 

Why do I have a feeling that we make up really easily? She thought suddenly. Pushing it away, she helped the first customer, not noticing who it was. 

"Have a nice day." She droned in a bored voice.

"Won't you say 'Annyeong'?" The customer asked. Haneul looked up and saw Taehyung, immediately rolling her eyes and pushing the drink to him. 

"Annyeong. Mr. flirtatious." She added under her breath.

 Haneul went into the back room to grab water, back-hugging Namjoon who stood in front of the water jug. "Hey." She rested her chin in the crook of his neck. 

"Oh, hi! You startled me." He chuckled, handing her some water. 

"You ready to go?" Haneul went to face him. 

"Yup, one sec." 

They decided to take a detour to get ice cream. 

Licking the creamy strawberry dessert, Haneul linked arms with Namjoon, enjoying the night view. "It's nice out." She said. 

"Yeah. So tell me, was that Taehyung guy at the café today?" He sat on a nearby bench, waiting for her. 

"Mhm." She replied while chewing the cone. 

"How's he know where we work?" Namjoon continued. 

"I told him, cuz he was pressing. Similar to what you're doing now." She teased. 

"Ah. Well listen. I don't want you to talk to him or his roommate anymore." Namjoon stood up and threw his trash in the bin. 

"Wae? I can't avoid them when they live next to me! That's ridiculous you know that." Ugh, sometimes he's so irrational. 

"I just don't want you to, Arasseo?" He sighed. 

She didn't reply. 

"Okay?" He frowned and asked again.

"Just because you're my boyfriend doesn't mean--" She began. 

"Yes, I can boss you around and I will if it protects you from creeps!" He shouted.

"They're not creeps! Namjoon, where the hell is this crap coming from? Are you seriously jealous of my 'relationship' with my neighbors?" Haneul aggresively stood up and pulled her hand away from his. 

"Relationship? I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU WERE CHEATING!" He exploded, slapping Haneul's arm. 

She grabbed his wrist before he could storm off. "Listen, and listen good." She said in a threatening tone. "You need to learn to know when someone is being sarcastic. And you need to learn that the word relationship does NOT always imply a romantic one. Stop overreacting about nothing!" She emphasized. "I am done with you if you keep thinking I have done you wrong when you KNOW I HAVE NOT." Letting him go, she thrust her hands into her pockets. 

"I--" Namjoon looked at his feet. "Maybe, we should have a break."
