CHAPTER TWO
"Amy, there is nothing we can do," said Grandpa, "I'm sorry honey." Amy was in tears, she couldn't bare the thought of Spartan and the other two horses being gone forever. Spartan was all she had left of her mom and now he was gone!
"Come on Amy, let's go in the house." said Ty.
"NO! I'm not going in the house. I'm going to find the horses. I bet I know where they are!," yelled Amy.
Everyone, including Ty, looked at Amy in astonishment! Ty knew that Amy would never let this lie, she would go and find the horses even if it was the last thing she did!
"Ok, where do you think they are?," asked Ty. Jack and Lou looked at Ty. Ty sighed and walked over to Jack and Lou. "Come on guys, Amy loves those horses, especially Spartan. We have to help her or she's going to go alone," whispered Ty. "Alright," they both said.
They all turned around to face Amy. "Ok we will help you, but first, we need breakfast." As everyone was eating, Lou finally said,"Well Amy, you could always get another horse, and those other two were going to be re-homed anyway."
"LOU! How could you say that? Spartan was the last thing I had to remember mom and now he's gone!" Amy said running out of the room. "Oh and the other horses were Olympic hopefuls if I could've gotten them better!" Amy ran out to the barn and into her mom's office. Then the phone rang. "Hello?" A creepy man's voice picked up, "Hello, is this Heartland?" "Umm yes, who is this?"
"I just thought I should let you know your little horsey friends are safe. For now anyway!" The man hung up with an evil laugh. Amy's eyes widened and she dropped the phone and ran to the house screaming,
"GRANDPA? GRANDPA?"
Ty, Lou, and Grandpa came running out to see what was wrong.
"Grandpa, I was out in the barn in mom's office and the phone rang, so I picked it up and it was this creepy guy wanting to know if he was calling Heartland and when I said yes, he said that the horses were safe and then he said for now as if he was going to do something to them and then he laughed and hung up! What are we going to do?!"
