CHAPTER THREE
"Amy I'm sorry but there is not much we can do the best thing to do is to just wait for the police to get here and figure this out." said, Grandpa. "How can you say that there isn't anything to do, we can do everything...........if there are only the police out there they won't find them, but if we are out there looking too then we will for sure find them!" "Please Grandpa?!" "No Amy! " I'm sorry but I'm not letting you get mixed up in this now it is late go to bed and we will talk more in the morning about it with the police." Amy went to bed and cried herself to sleep trying not to think of the worst thing that could happen to Spartan and the others but it was stuck in her head. Just like the previous night she was starting to go to sleep and then heard a truck engine again!! She sat straight up in bed and looked out her window and saw a truck and trailer she ran into the mudroom and grabbed her boots and coat and ran outside but stopped immediately and knew she needed a plan of some sort she couldn't just walk up to them and tell them to explain everything. She decided to go to the back door behind the barn and then go wake up Ty. She tip toed up Ty's loft stairs and woke him up. "Ty.......Ty.......? Wake up, my gosh you sleep deep can't you hear anything they're back, the people that took Spartan and the others they came back!!" "what are you talking about Amy?" "Come on we don't have much time we have to get in the back of the trailer and see where they go!" "That is insane Amy, I'm not doing that and neither are you!" "Ty.....COME ON...........okay I get it you don't want to help me fine I'll go alone then!" "NO Amy I'm not going to let you go alone!" "Well I'm going, are you coming?!" "Alright fine I'll come."
Amy and Ty tiptoed down the stairs and while the guys grabbed all the saddles and they got into the side door in the trailer and hid behind some hay bales. They could hear the men on the other side of the trailer talking about some tack and horse auctions in Calgary they needed to get to by morning. Then several minutes later the truck engine started back up and Ty and Amy could feel the truck and trailer start to move over the rough, rocky ground, they knew there was no way out now and they would just have to sit tight for the long four hour drive to Calgary.
