Gerard and Frank stood there, staring at each other, both in awe, wondering who was going to continue the conversation.
"Frank your soaking, please, come in" Gerard mumbled gesturing for the other man to come in. "Thank you" Frank replied with a hint of gratitude. "Gerard, there's something I want to tell you" Frank added in after taking off his boots and coat. "Anything Frank" Gerard piped up getting his hopes up for practically nothing at all. He led Frank through the dining room over to the couch in the 'family' room.
The two men sat down facing each other, Gerard looked over into the younger man's eyes and smiled, Frank's eyes were the types you could practically swim in, several different hues, a beautiful shade no matter what, big, beautiful, and full of hope and happiness. According to Gerard, this was one of Frank's best features, besides how absolutely smart he was, like, the man got into Rutgers University on a scholarship for Christ's sake.
"I know this is forward, and it's certainly been a while," Frank started but paused to giggle at his own stupid joke, that was another thing Gerard loved about Frank, his sense of humour, even when his own jokes weren't funny, Frank always seemed to laugh at them. "But I've been meaning to tell you this for the longest time" Frank continued. What could it possibly be, Gerard knew that he was freaking out over nothing- he tended to do that a lot, but he couldn't stop his heart from racing, not this time.
"I-I think I'm in love with you"
This wasn't happening. Gerard couldn't believe it, the only person in the whole damn world he ever truly had a connection with, the only person he wanted to spend his time with, had just confessed is love.
Gerard was speechless, he tried but no words could come out of his mouth, it was just hanging wide open, after a minute or two, the starstruck feeling stopped and Gerard could finally speak.
"I love you too Frankie"
