The boys are usually completely honest with each other. They have to be trusting of each other as they spend the majority of their days side by side. Occasionally the boys have a busy day, full of interviews and shows, which they may
not be up for considering their usually busy schedule and how tired they all were.Corbyn only faked sick once. They had landed back in the US after their European tour and the boys were all worn out and jet lagged after a chaotic, busy few weeks. Corbyn wanted nothing more than to stay in bed and relax rather than getting up to do more press for their upcoming album. He pretended to be asleep until the boys realised he wasn't up. They shook him awake and he put on an act as if he had a headache and was dizzy. The boys believed him and kept an eye on him until their management made them aware that they had no choice but to attend the interview as it was vital to get their new single played on the radio. Throughout the day Corbyn realised he wasn't going to get a day off and eventually layed of the act and the boys noticed. He tried to convince them he simply felt better but the boys all knew it was just an act he put on. They weren't very pleased to say the least. Anytime he felt slightly off the boys were all apprehensive and never fully believed him as a result of what had happened last time. Corbyn always seemed to manage on his own until today.
He woke up and was instantly blinded by the bright light beaming into his hotel window. The curtain was slightly pulled back, just enough for Corbyn to see the blinding sun rise. He winced in pain, suddenly realising the dull ache in his head. He attempted to sit up and close the curtain but he felt dizzy and couldn't stable himself enough.
As he attempted to stand up he stumbled, grabbing onto the small, wooden side table beside him for support. Jonah had walked into the room to see if Corbyn was ready before stopping and watching the scene that was taking place right in front of his eyes.
Jonah just rolled his eyes and exited the room, figuring that Corbyn was just trying to pull another one of his acts to get out of their busy day.
Eventually, after around 15 minutes of struggling, Corbyn was able to get dressed. He gently put on his baggy, black joggers and a black, oversized jumper which engulfed his small frame. He glanced at himself in the mirror, pulling a disgusted face at how pale he had gone and how ill he looked. He was so confused as to why Jonah didn't believe him even after he clearly looked so ill.
Jonah had sent Jack and Zach in to get Corbyn for breakfast as he couldn't bare to see him faking sickness again.
" Hey Corbyn - woah bro, you're so pale! Are you ok? " Zach said slightly worried from the boy's weak and sick appearance.
Corbyn simply groaned in response, unable to form proper sentences in his overworked brain.
" Jonah said you were faking sick again - you don't look well though " Jack added.
Corbyn ignored them. He wasn't mad at Jack and Zach but at the fact Jonah really didn't believe him - one of his best friends.
Zach and Jack left his room, returning to Jonah and expressed their worry for the older boy.
" Jo, he really looks so sick, have you not seen him? He can't even form a sentence! " Zach said.
" Chill bro he's fine, he just doesn't want to go through today's busy schedule. We are all just as tired as each other but we have to get through it. " Jonah attempted to reassure the youngest of the group.
Daniel remained sat on the edge of Jonah's bed, listening in to the conversation. Corbyn slowly dragged his body into the room in which all the boys were in and they proceeded to make their way to breakfast.
All the boys except Corbyn ate large breakfasts, in order to get all the energy they needed for the day. Jonah drank at least two cups of coffee and Corbyn remained at the edge of the table. He sat quietly and took small sips out of his glass of water, not being interested by any good.
" Corbyn are you going to eat anything? You will get hungry later on and now is our only time to get a good meal. " Daniel said, genuinely concerned for the boy.
Corbyn shrugged his shoulders like a little kid and remained sat in silence. The boys thought it best to try and not fall for Corbyn's prank and just wait for him to stop faking it.
They got back from breakfast, Corbyn still with an empty stomach and headed back to their own rooms.
After about 20 minutes, they decided to go for a walk. Jonah and Daniel got Zach and Jack before asking Zach to go and get Corbyn.
The boys were all alarmed when they heard Zach's loud scream.
"Bean! Bean, talk to me, are you ok? JONAH! DANIEL! JACK! HELP! " Zach gelled, panic apparent in his voice.
The other three cams running in to his room to be greeted with the sight of Corbyn's limp body scrunched up on the wooded floor and a panicked Zach by his side.
" Corbyn! Oh no - he wasn't faking. I'm such a bad friend I can't believe I didn't bel-" Jonah's rambling was cut of by Jack.
" Dude it's ok, it's not your fault. You had every reason to believe he wasn't telling the truth after what has happened before. "
Daniel was tightly gripping onto Zach, in an attempt to calm down the young boy.
After a couple minutes, Corbyn began to regain consciousness. He was met with four pairs of worried eyes.
" Hey bean, how are you feeling? " Daniel said, gently running his fingers through the older boy's soft hair.
Corbyn just groaned, the sudden burst of light overwhelming him.
The boys carefully lifted Corbyn onto his bed and sat by his side. Jack and Zach went to the store to buy medicine for him while Jonah and Daniel stayed by his side, Jonah relentlessly apologising for not believing his friend.
The boys had the next day off in order for Corbyn to recover from the previous day's events. Although he was slightly annoyed that his friends didn't believe him, he couldn't be happier that they stayed with him while he recovered.
He truly loved these boys and they truly love him. He knew that they would believe him in the future, and he also knew that he couldn't wish for better friends than the ones right by his side. His best friends, who were like brother s to him. He was so thankful for them and they were so thankful for him.
