Zach has been bipolar for as long as he can remember. Only his close family knew about it and after a couple of tough years struggling with it, at age 12, he began taking medication to help him. He took a pill in the morning and he would usually be fine for the day. He didn't feel it necessary to tell the boys about his condition as he thought he could manage on his own and he felt slightly embarrassed that he couldn't control his own emotions. He was able to hide it from the boys for almost a year and a half until one morning before a packed full day of interviews and performances, Zach ran out of his medication.

It was the morning before a busy day and all the boys were already tired. Zach went to reach for the small medication bottle tucked in the front of his backpack when he noticed the bottle was empty. He sighed quietly and knew instantly that today was going to be tough to get through. He had to try and put it out his mind though
as he only had thirty minutes to eat breakfast before the boys had their first interview and he didn't have time to procrastinate.

" Hey Z, what's up? " Jack said to the youngest, noticing his slightly lowered head and much quieter attitude than normal.

" Nothing " He replied, trying to keep himself to himself.

" Are you sure? " Jack asked again, still not satisfied with the boy's previous response.

" I SAID NOTHING! " Zach yelled, instantly regretting the decision to yell, even though he had no control over it.

" Woah chill, I was just making sure you were alright " Jack said, slightly confused as to why the boy just reacted how he did to such a simple question.

Zach shook his head and sighed, heading to the bathroom. He locked the door behind him and burst out crying. Not even thinking enough to try and hide it so the boys couldn't hear him through the thin walls.

" Are you alright in their Zach? " Daniel said, concerned for the boy, but instantly recognising his cries.

He received no response, so he thought it best to get Jonah's help.

" Jonah! Come here a second " Daniel yelled quite loudly.

Jonah came right to the bathroom door and instantly heard the loud, distressed cries coming from the other side of the door.

" Calm down bubs, your ok, it's ok " Jonah said calmly, " Open the door "

" NO I DONT WANT TO " Zach screamed.

The boys were both left shocked as to the boy's sudden attitude change. The loud cries had now attracted Corbyn and Jack and all four boys were worriedly waiting on the other side of the door to the boy.

" Please help me, I need you " Zach cried.

" Let us in bub, then we can help you" Corbyn said, careful not to provoke the boy to yell again.

A few seconds later, the door was slowly unlocked and they all rushed to the boy's side.

" Guys, move back a little, give him some space " Jonah said to the other three boys, his protective instincts kicking in.

" Hey, calm down a little bit, you're ok, we are here now, don't worry." He said to the youngest who was laying on the bathroom ground, scrunched up, sweating and crying immensely.

" GET OFF " Zach tried yelling but it didn't work. Jonah didn't give up.

After a few more minutes of yelling, the young boy collapsed into the eldest's arms and broke down. Together the boys lifted him up and took him to the sofa before lying him down and letting him sleep for a little bit. He was clearly worn out and exhausted from the previous events.

" He looks so cute "

" I wonder what's wrong "

" I hope everything's alright "

" He will be fine don't worry guys "

Zach could faintly recognise the voices of his best friends from close around him as he regained consciousness.

Zach sat up carefully and the boys sat by his side.

" The first interview is cancelled - we spoke to management and the pushed the date back a couple days. We only have one performance today and it's later on in the afternoon." Jonah explained calmly.

" Are you sure you're alright Zachy, you really don't look too well." Jack questioned the boy.

" I'm so sorry guys, I'm, I'm, well I'm kind of Bipolar and and I'm really sorry but I ran out of medicine and and I'm erm really sorry I didn't tell you. I was scared and and kind of embarrassed I'm so er sorry- " Zach rambled on, slowly breaking down into tears.

" Hey, Hey don't worry Z, it's ok, we understand. Why didn't you tell us though sweet, we would've understood, you know we love you no matter what. " Daniel said, running his fingers through the boy's light brown hair.

" I thought you'd - you'd be ma mad at me-e" Zach said, tears falling from his eyes.

" of course not Zach, never " Jonah said, engulfing the boy into a tight hug for comfort.

" Let's get you some more medication then and we can go from there." Corbyn suggested.

" Yes please-e I reall-y need I-t " The boy replied.

The drove to the closest store and managed to find Zach's medication. He took what he needed and they then proceeded to go to their next interview. The boys all kept a close eye on Zach to make sure he was alright and that they were there for him whenever he may need them.

He was slightly quiet, understandably, and the boys tried to answer any questions directed at him to give him a little break. They performed a song and the boy's constantly gave him a little smile of reassurance so he knew that they were there for him.

He was so thankful to have his four best friends with him and that they were so understanding. He promised to tell them if he needed more medication ever again and they promised to loon out for him.

The next day he took his medication as normal and the boys checked on him to make sure he was feeling alright. He was so thankful his friends cared so much for him and he knew he could never understand just how lucky he was to have such amazing people care for him.
