"Are you serious?"
Jul asked Nyx as he stood by the doorway. Jul was wearing a blue suit, on top of a black dress shirt and a black tie, paired up with blue trousers and black combat boots. An Iron Cross necklace hang around his neck. He was wearing his Prussia cosplay costume and he was really eager to throw his messenger bag at Nyx. Nyx was lying on the bed, fingers scrolling his own phone and face flushed with a fever. He caught a nasty cold a few days ago and now he has a fever. Jul wanted to hit him.
"We had this planned, you ass." Jul dropped his bag on the floor, "I told you not to get sick."
Nyx shrugged at him, eyes still glued to the phone. "I can't help it. It rained yesterday."
He wanted to know what Nyx was doing outside in the rain but at the same time, he didn't want to know. Nyx probably thought it was a good idea to do a 'Rain Photo Shoot' with one of his figurines again and since it hasn't been raining for a long time, he just ran out of the door at the first signs of it.
This idiot.
There was nothing else he could do now. Nyx is sick and he already paid for his own ticket. Not going now would be a waste of money. Not to mention that he was planning to buy a few goods in this event. He figured he might just pop in, buy stuff, and pop out. Events aren't fun when you're alone, after all.
"You want me to buy you something?"
Nyx stopped scrolling and turned his head up. Jul could see the list going through his head by then. A very long and insane list.
"Nah, I'm good," replied Nyx, "Sorry that I can't go."
Jul just shook his head. This so like Nyx. You think he didn't care that he ruined your plans and he just goes and shows how sorry he is.
"It's cool, man." Jul shrugged before grabbing his bag and slinging it on his shoulder, "I'll see you later."
"Yeah. Have fun." Nyx smiled and waved.
As Jul walked to the door, ready to leave, he suddenly got a mischievous idea. A grin slowly grew from his lips as he turned his head back towards Nyx. One of his hands grabbed onto the doorknob, ready to close it just in case, as he called back to him.
"Nyx." he called, "I'll call you if I see Ren."
He promptly closed the door as a pillow went flying towards his head. He heard the soft 'thump' it made on the other side of the door, and what he could make out of a groan from Nyx. Jul snickered his way out of the house, pacing himself for the long commute to the event venue.
He is such an idiot.
Nyx had been thoroughly searching the internet for Cosplayer Ren ever since that panel. He had gone to Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Deviantart, practically everywhere, but he couldn't find a single trace of the elusive cosplayer. He would complain, whine, and be depressed then bounce back to scrolling his phone and if someone were to ask, Jul would say that Nyx is slowly turning into a stalker. A very disappointing stalker who can't find who he's stalking.
Squeezing his way out of the crowd of passengers, Jul arrived at the train station and walked towards the event venue. His messenger bag swayed as he walked and as he got closer to the venue, the people he passed by started getting more colorful. Red, blue, green, he could see the colors of the rainbow the more he walked. From wigs to clothes, he could feel his eyes scanning the crowd of casuals. He started grinning to himself.
Stopping by at the men's bathroom, he started fixing his hair with a hairnet. He got his white wig from his bag and placed it on his head, carefully styling it. Next were his red contact lenses. Wincing as he put them on, he blinked them in place. Looking at himself in the mirror by the sink, he was tempted to just blurt out his character's catchphrase, 'I am awesome.' But opt not to because that's just weird. He walked out of the bathroom, confident and excited, and went to the battleground: the crowded Hall 1.
