This morning I went to school and made up all the work I missed from last week since I was working
Rocky: hey Aaliyah
I was writing on a paper doing my work then I look up at her
Aaliyah: oh hey
Rocky: I called you last week about you know...for fun but you didn't answer
Aaliyah : oh yeah forgot to tell you I'm dating someone
Rocky: what who??
Aaliyah: you don't know him plus he's 25
Rocky: 25!!
Everyone looks at us
Aaliyah: shhhh!
Rocky: sorry..how did you fall for a 25 year old?
Aaliyah: well I got a job that's why I wasn't here last week and he hooked me up with a career and basically we talked a lot and we're alone most of the time so yeah I guess I fell for him
Rocky: oh ok
Aaliyah: you can't tell no one alright
Rocky: got it!
I smiled at her and continued with my work
After school...
I was walking home and saw something outrageous, it was two cops beating a little kid that looked about my age when my moms died
Aaliyah: stop!
I tried to help him up but one of the cops pushed me outta the way
Cop1: get out of here before we start beating you too girl!
Little boy: awe awe help!!
Cop2: shut up you little nigger!
He kicks the boy in the stomach
Aaliyah: stop he's just a boy!
One of the cops slap me across the face and I fall
Cop1: I told you girl to mind your own business before we lock you too!
Aaliyah: fuck you!
I spit on his face
Cop1: that's it!
He starts beating me with the baton and before you know it I was knocked out
About 15 minutes later...
I woke up in a cell and had a headache then I turned around and see the little boy that was getting beat crying in the corner
Aaliyah: hey
Boy: *sniffs* hey..
