The next day I went shopping for some jeans and I took my Walkman with me and I was listening to this new song by eazye called "Boyz in the hood" that just released this year 1988
I was minding my own business dancing around and rapping while looking at the jeans then all the sudden someone taps my shoulder
Aaliyah: oh god!
Lonzo: sorry there shorty
Aaliyah: um it's fine can I help you?
Lonzo: hi my names lonzo
He shakes my hand
Aaliyah: um hi
Lonzo: I heard you rapping that new song by eazye and I think you pretty good
Aaliyah: oh um thanks
Lonzo: i personally now eazye and his group and they looking for one more rapper, wanna check it out?
Aaliyah: hey wait a minute, you know this guy named Timbaland?
Lonzo: oh yeah Timbaland, yes why?
Aaliyah: never mind that
Lonzo: haha! ok, so you wanna meet em?
Aaliyah: uhh I don't know isn't it an all boys group?
Lonzo: nahh I'm sure if they hear you they gonna let you in!
Aaliyah:*sighs* um well..I guess...
Lonzo: great! You gotta number?
Aaliyah: yeah here's my number for my beeper
I write on a piece of paper and hand him my number
Lonzo: great! See ya tomorrow!
Aaliyah: tomorrow!??
Lonzo: yeah I'll pick you up around 11
Aaliyah: um ok!
Lonzo: aight den see ya!
He leaves, after I went Shopping i headed to Timbaland's house
At Timbaland's house...
Aaliyah: Timbaland guess what!!
Timbaland: what??
Aaliyah: remember yesterday you was asking me to meet some guy so he can hear my rhymes??
Timbaland: yeah
Aaliyah: well I surprisingly met him today while I was Jean shopping and he heard me rap so he hooked me up to meet eazye and his group!
Timbaland: wait eazye the one he just hit a million after he released that song um what's it called again...um..
Aaliyah: Boyz in the hood!
Timbaland: yeah!
Aaliyah: oh I hope they except me
Timbaland: they will I'm sure of it, your the best female rapper in Compton and you can beat some of these males too!
Aaliyah: It's great someone in Compton rapping about our neighborhood
Timbaland: mhmm!
The next morning...
I got ready and waited for lonzo to pick me up
