Finally it was the day the Volturi were to arrive. All I cared about was keeping myself and my family alive. I kept behind Erasmus even as Angelus wandered about. That's when I caught sight of them. Their numbers were immense and I knew most were gifted. I cared not what they were saying when I reached into my pocket and pulled out my brothers protecting bracelet. "Erasmus! He's not protected!" I shouted quietly showing him the bracelet. He swore quietly and began scanning for Angelus. That's when I noticed what seemed to be a thick fog surround us. My brother was just beyond Bella's shields. I broke away from the group running towards him even as the fog reached for him. He seemed shocked before he started screaming and falling into the snow. "Angelus!" I shouted running out past the shield even as the fog twisted around me and my brother who had stopped screaming as the fog weaved around him. I fell beside him and realizing I had left his bracelet with Erasmus I unclamped my own necklace and placed it on him. I didn't realize the fog had drawn back not that Alice and jasper had returned as I felt numb.
