AFTER EVERYTHING THAT happened with Chuck, Josie needed to calm down before she went home. She couldn't face her mother with her nerves running that high, so she got back into the hot tub once it returned to normal temperature. She had expected to be alone, but then Veronica slid into the hot tub across from her, looking at her curiously.

"Hey," Veronica whispered as Josie looked up, meeting the girl's curious gaze. "So, I've been wanting to talk to you."

"Oh, you have?" Josie's eyes widened, but she couldn't help but smile at the mischievous grin on Veronica's lips. "What about?"

"Well, if there's something I want, I go after it," Veronica informed, slowly moving so that she was right in front of Josie. She put her hands on either side of Josie, and moved so that her face was just a few inches from hers. "And right now, you're the person I want. But I don't really need a serious relationship right now, so if you-"

She cut off as Josie pressed her lips against Veronica's. Her lips were warm and soft against the Lodge girl's, and after a moment, Veronica paused, her lips turning into a smile. "I've wanted to do that again for a while now."

The Scratch girl grinned, her face lighting up before she moved so that Veronica's legs were on either side of her. Veronica straddled Josie. To Josie, Veronica's touch was electric, and amazing. Her lips were easily the softest thing Josie had ever felt, and when Veronica touched her even the slightest, her entire body tingled.

Josie's breathing was heavy as she slid one hand along Veronica's side, stroking her skin through the water. Veronica then wrapped her arms around Josie, pulling her closer than ever before. "I could get used to this, even if as far as everyone else knows, we're just friends."

"Jo? Josie?" Josie is pulled out of her recollection of the night before by Jughead, who's angry as hell. She's currently sitting in a booth at Pop's with Kevin, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica. Veronica is sitting across from her, and she's playing footsie with Josie under the table. She had been so caught up in thinking about Veronica that she zoned out on what Jughead was saying. "Are you even listening to me? I'm pissed. And not just about losing my job. The Twilight Drive-In should mean something to us. People should be trying to save it."

Ah, yes, the Twilight Drive-In is closing down. Josie had heard her mother complaining about that this morning before she left for school. It doesn't really affect Josie that much though, because she doesn't go there that much anymore. The last time she went was last summer when she went on a date with a witch named Prudence. Both had zoned out on the movie and ended up making out in the back of Josie's car.

This does, however, affect Jughead, because he's been working there for years. The drive-in is like a second home to him.

"In this age of Netflix and VOD, do people really want to watch a movie in a car?" Veronica questions, scrunching her nose in confusion. "I mean, who even goes there?"
