“You two may sit here too.” She told Likada and Saturn. The miniscule group discussed for a great heap of time, introducing themselves to one another. Coincidentally, Tsunamae had just transferred from another school, and was in her second year.
They had all agreed to share a Dormitory with one another. Milk was glad she didn’t have to slumber down in a Solo Cellar, where it was a fortress of solitude and lonely wisp- yes, she was quite glad...
A few minutes after their train departed the express, a kind elderly woman with a golden unicorn-like horn hovering over her forehead opened their sliding door to their seating box.
“Would you children like some sweets or beverages?” she asked while snatching a few things from the wagon.
“Sure, I didn’t pack much food for the journey and I am quite famished,” Saturn said thoughtfully whilst rustling through her bag only to find a plethora of gold stars. ‘Gold stars are the currency used in Cozmos for buying things. These are not easy to achieve so students usually only use them for emergencies.’ Milk recalled from last year. ‘I remember not having many. You do only obtain them from good deeds.’ Everyone in the same seating box with Saturn was astonished at how many she has. Even the cart lady was surprised at how wealthy this young woman was. “Do you guys want anything? I mean, I’ve been saving up my gold stars for seven thousand centuries now.” She said handing them each ten gold stars.
“Um, sure! Can I have five packs of sweetened Lava Scallops?” Likada inquired as the two passed the refreshments to each other. Saturn gave a protective glare to Likada, scolding him for such a sweet snack.
“Can I have some organic honey mixed with tree sap?” Tsunamae asked quite shyly.
“I’ll have the Chocolate Asteroids, thanks.” Saturn requested blithely.
“May I have the ‘Waste of Space’ sweetened chips?” Milk buzzed faintly while the quite nasty look in her sparked. The cart lady handed them their food one by one and left the seating box, closing both doors. Milk let out an immense sigh holding both sides of her head with her hands. Everyone was looking at her puzzled and worried.
“What’s wrong, Milk?” Likada directed her concernedly.
“...It’s just that I’ve never had such a long conversation like that before!” Milk exclaimed in a panic. They were all in a confused shock.
“What? Why?” Tsunamae spoke slowly. Milk shook her head as she started to calm down. “Well, my father doesn’t really associate with me, or take me out to the park or anything similar to that.”
An unnecessary and lengthy silence followed. The wheels of the train clanked across the tracks as they approached closer and closer to their fellow university. Doors opened as footsteps and loud chattering students could be heard stepping outside.
“Milk? I don’t mean this in an unpleasant way- but if your father is abusing you, I heard that students are welcome to actually live at Cozmos. Saturn and I were planning to for the rest of the year, and maybe even the following.” Likada piped up quietly.
Milk opened her mouth to answer but was quickly disrupted by Mrs. Astrid’s strident voice
