Hustle! We’ve arrived at Cozmos!” It roared. Sharp screeching noises followed as the train’s whistle alerted them to get going. “Let’s go. We can’t be late for Mrs. Astrid’s speech, after all. I heard they hired a new Astronomy professor…” Tsunamae pronounced distractedly as the four carried their bags out to recognize a familiar forest. Mrs. Astrid, a wispy white-haired woman who wore dresses that had galaxy patterns, awaited them with her usual oak staff, standing on the dry dirt path leading to the castle entrance. A black crescent moon which displayed a violet aura was attached to the top of it. She clanked it to the ground twice, enough to get the attention of the young Gods and Goddesses surrounding them.
“Greetings, fellow peers! Introducing you to another enchanting year of Cozmos is my pleasure- please follow me to the castle, where I shall continue my speech.” the proud headmaster announced haughtily. Pure white constellations glowed on her dress’ skirt as she whipped around to lead them. Throughout the dark forest they traveled, closer and closer the astounding view of the stunning stone acropolis grew, as well as Milk’s anxiety. ‘Another year of agony.’ She thought to herself as she stalked after her principal with her new friends. ‘This year will be better- it has to be. I just met three wonderful people who actually befriended me.’ She sighed tiredly. The sky above her head turned an ombre of red and orange before they belatedly reached the drawbridge.
Mrs. Astrid pointed her staff towards the large closed door and waved it around freely.
“Consecteturo!” She yelled powerfully as the crescent moon blasted out a laser of purple radiation. It struck the chains of the drawbridge, and the door reached the sharp blades of grass with a heavy slam. The students clapped as Mrs. Astrid bowed boisterously. “That’s enough, inside everyone!”

The crowd moved forward to enter the Victorian-styled vintage insides. Outdated equipment furnished the spaces, as the large group strolled towards the Meeting Hall, an extended foyer with protracted wooden pews. Blue, purple, black, and silver-stained windows encapsulated the whole scene. Extravagant chandeliers with shining golden stars instead of candles hung from the ceiling, creating a monarchical and grand appearance that reminded Milk much of her own humble home. She and her recent acquaintances shuffled across the marble floor and into the benches.
Mrs. Astrid strode towards the large iridescent stage at the end of the foyer and climbed up the stairs. Various professors and staff accompanied the stage as well. Their bizarre outfits differentiated them easily. She stepped up to the microphone and cleared her throat gingerly as she began her token beginning semester speech:
“Dearest student and faculty members- it is an absolute honor to begin another wonderful year of education at Cozmos. I appreciate your loyalty, professors. Speaking of which, I would like to indicate the arrival of our new Astronomy teacher- Professor Constellatio!”
A blonde, long haired man with black robes and an eyepatch covering his right eye with a picture of a star printed on it bowed and waved to the audience, smiling. Instead of a round pupil, he had the shape of what appeared to be a shaky asteroid in his left iris.
Mrs. Astrid continued her speech:
“Very well- we will persist to present you with another fabulous year. For now, please evacuate to your Dormitories. As for my professors, another conference will be held here tomorrow to discuss....matters.”
Her face twisted into an expression of unease and worry, but was quickly replaced by her usual jubilant mood. ‘Matters? She seems upset about that. I wonder what that is… Maybe it’s-’
“Milk! C’mon, we’re heading to the Dorms now.” Tsunamae called out to her eagerly. Several pews have already been emptied, as the usual babble filled the room.
“Huh? Sorry!”
