"Guy's wanna go for a ride in a few hours?" Jordan ask's Raven and Jade. "Sure, let's just get the chores done." Raven shrugs and put's toast on every ones plate. "But first we eat." Jade bite's into her toast. Jade stare's out the kitchen window and notice's the drowsy weather. Gray clouds cover the sky like a blanket and light rain drizzles from the sky. "Should we be worried about that?" Jade looks at the other girls. "You're always worried." Jordan rolls her eyes. "I can't help it! It's natural." Jade said with a little attitude.
"We'll be fine." Jordan shrugs "A little rain never hurt anybody." she said and got up to put her plate in the sink. "I'm gonna go get Queen and just do chores later." Jordan says, grabbing her hoodie, and headed out the door. "I'm right behind you." Jade says. "I'm nervous to ride Journey though." Jade grabs her hoodie and follows Jordan talking about how it's her first time on the trail riding Journey. Raven stays behind cleaning up.
Meanwhile outside...
Jade leads Journey into the barn and ties him to the post next to Queen. "It's warm but windy." Jordan says from the tack room. Jade bend's down to pick out Journey's hooves. "And you say I worry!" Jade squeaks out. "I don't worry as much as you and I'm not as paranoid!" Jordan put's her saddle blanket and saddle on Queen. "That's the truest thing." Raven come's around the corner laughing. She take's her little Quarter horse into a stall to tack up since there was no more room in the little barn. Jade lift's the western saddle onto the back of the sixteen point three hand Warm Blood gelding.
She cinches up the saddle then go's to grab the bridle and slipping it onto his head. "I'll just put her bridle on her and ride bareback." Raven shrugs. "So that we can get going faster." Raven mumbles to herself. All three of them put their helmets on, mount up, and head out. "I'm so short compared to you guys!" Raven groans and the other two scoff at her words. "You always say that and then we always say-" Jade gets cut off. "We're on these big tall Warm bloods." Raven finishes the sentence. Jordan laughs and stays ahead of the others.
Jordan spots old man Peter's sitting on his porch as she rides past him not looking his way, knowing the old man is crazy. "You girls be careful!" he hollers out. Raven and Jade looking at each other. "What's he mean by that Rave?" Jade whispers. Raven's face go's emotionless as she looks back at Peter's. "There's a ghost horse out there!" he looks crazy with his white hair and beard. "It'll come for you! stay away!" he warns. Jade get's creeped out and kicks Journey into a fast trot. Raven follows soon after and the old man laughs creepily.
As soon as they catch up with Jordan everything seems fine. "Old man Peters." Jordan rolls her eyes. "He's crazy! Jade don't listen to him." Jordan says the last part seriously. Jade gulps "but what if-" Raven cuts Jade off this time. "Real? there is no such thing as ghosts." Raven says. Jade gulps again and pats Journey for comfort. She nods feeling unsure. The three sisters stay within distance of each other and cross the road at one at a time when no cars are visible. Little sun beams fight to be through the clouds. "Some interesting weather today." Jordan yells back at the others.
The other two look around slightly. It stopped drizzling a few minutes ago, the wind slightly picked up, it's warm too but it's winter here in Georgia, It's not as bright due to clouds covering the sun. "Very interesting but the breeze feels nice." Raven shrugs. They head down a wood covered trail. Dead leafs on the ground mixed with mud and rain puddles were under them. The horses held their heads high, ears relaxed, in an easy going walk. "Good girl Bonnet." Raven murmured to the chestnut. "Watch out for that hole in the ground guys." Jade says. They avoid it, carrying on with the ride.
"So one time my friend had a ghost experience." Jordan speaks up after a solid fifteen minutes into the trail. "But you said they're not real!" Jade squeaks out. "Well." Raven's voice trailed off. "Well there's no telling whats real and what's fake." Raven adds. "So anyways! one time my friend was talking on the phone with her boyfriend and after the call ended; she put her phone down on the counter and turned her back to it." Jordan stops talking and shivers in her saddle. "And when she turned back around, it was gone! in less than thirty seconds too!" she takes a big breath. "She couldn't find it for days, until one day, it appeared in her car."
