Here's what you need to know about me... My names Olivia Michaels, Liv for short or Livvi if you're in my inner circle, but for now let's just stick with Liv. I'm 18 years old and starting my freshman year at UCLA. It's has been my dream to study Art History at UCLA and of course be as close to the beach as possible.

The only downside is having to move in with my older brother Owen, he's 21 and is also attending UCLA on a baseball scholarship. He has a roommate Jackson something or other. He is one of his teammates. I've never met him, I'm sure he's a douche just like Owen. Hopefully he isn't as arrogant too.

Dad insists that I stay with them to save money. I'm sure he just wants me to babysit Owen and keep him out of trouble. Dad is certain Owen will be scouted by a major league team and doesn't want to ruin his future by partying too much in college. I almost feel bad for Owen, it can't be fun having to deal with your baby sister lurking around all the time. Hahaha! Sucks to be him.

Move in day...Here goes nothing.

Dad is helping me while Owen and Jackson are at practice. This should be interesting. "Damn Livvi, did you pack enough? You didn't have to bring your whole room. You still need stuff to come home to. If you ever do!" Dad says as he lugs my suit cases up the stairs to Owen's Apartment. I just laugh back at him, "Dad, it could be worse." "How so?" he replies. I could have brought my whole closet instead of a few suite cases. This is only my summer clothes." I reply. He grumbles something under his breath and continues up the stairs.

Three floors up and no working elevator... this should be fun. Apartment 310 at the far end of the building. The best part about Owens apartment is the private rooftop courtyard attached. I cannot wait to spend nights out there under the stars with a glass of wine and a good book. Hopefully Owen will let me decorate the space a little. Maybe add some twinkle lights, a comfy chair or couch would be great. I'll have to butter him up for that one.

"Here we are kiddo" Dad says as he hands me the spare keys. I grab them and unlock the door and walk in. I haven't been here since we moved Owen in last summer. It hasn't changed. Dad really did hook him up with sweet digs. This place must have cost him a fortune. Lucky enough for him he is able to save money with both of us living together and having a roommate to help with other bills. Of course it has the typical guy vibe to it and smells like gym socks.
