"Mom, are we almost there?" My little brother Chad asked on the plane, we were flung out from New York back to Illinois from Florida where we went for vacation.
"No sweetie, we still have an hour or two to go." Mom replied.
"But Mommyyyy! I'm boooored!!" Whined Chad.
"Well I'm sorry." Stated mom, then went back to knitting her blanket. All of a sudden the plane started shaking.
"Holy Shit!" I yelled loudly, I was already afraid of flying, and shaking didn't help.
"CJ!" My mother scolded. "Language!"
"Hello there passengers, it seems we're experiencing some turbulence. Please buckle up and stay in your seats." The pilot announced.
"Mommmy! I'm scaaaaared!" Whined Chad, scared, he didn't know a thing about scared. He's only six and has never experienced true fear.
Until the plane started dropping.
"MOMMMM!" Screamed Chad.
"Is okay, it's okay." Repeated my mom, hugging Chad.
"MOM! ITS NOT OKAY!" I screamed, I started to cry. As my mom held onto Chad my dad held on to me. People screamed the whole time the plane dropped.
The plane dropped.
Just dropped from the sky.

I was the only one to live that day.
Out of the 70 people on that plane.
The single survivor.
I had experienced true fear on that day.
It is a horrible feeling to stand up from the rubble of the crash and looking around and seeing your family dead. Broken.
I certainly hope you never have to experience that.
I hope.
