Pete's POV
Tonight's different from another nights. That's because friends from college came to have dinner together. I guess the last time I had dinner like this was when Ae's birthday and that was a year ago. That time I was so excited to make a surprise for Ae, but the one got surprised was me. Ae didn't come home. I called Ae's number numerous times but he didn't pick up. I got so worried but thankfully Nong Lay (Can's sister) told me that Ae was fine. She stalked Ae's colleague and from there she knew Ae's and his friends had a party in a bar. I'm fine with that, as long as Ae's fine and safe. In the end, I still have dinner with my friends even though without the birthday person. I'm okay, really! But I can't lie to my heart that I felt dejected and wished the next birthday Ae would stand beside me.
"Burrppp..... ahhh, I'm so full."
"The hell Pond! Can you be decent for a sec."
Ae scolds Pond, but the latter seems ignorant. Pond keeps rubbing his bloated belly and smiles as nothing happened.
"Don't waste your energy on this shameless person Ae, you'll tire yourself." Cha Aim said that without looking at his husband.
"It's normal for burping, it's indicate that we love the food, right Ai'Pete?" Pond argued and asked me for backup. I don't know what to say, so I just smile at Pond.
"Don't bother Pete Ai'Pond!" Ae gets annoyed at Pond.
"Where you got that way of thinking Pond, it's the first time I heard it." Bow asked with a laugh.
"As you expected from a quarter of human, the way of their thinking is beyond our knowledge." All of the listener are laughing at Ping's comment. P'Type and Can whose have another conversation also laughed after heard the story.
Suddenly there's food in front of my mouth. Ae uses his chopsticks to take a small piece of tofu for me.
"You forget to eat your food Pete, don't just listen to them." Ae said that and gesture to open my mouth.
I automatically open my mouth so Ae can feed me. I so shy, because our friends look at us. I can feel my face get warmer.
"Cough... don't worry, we didn't see anything. Continue your lovey dovey, don't mind us." P'Type teases me and Ae, he smirks at both of us. My face no longer warm but hot this time!
"Hahahaha, it's okay Ai'Pete. It's better like this than last year. Do you guys remember when Ai'Pete wanted to give Ai'Ae birthday surprise? Gosh, it was so awkward, I didn't know what to do, I just wanted to give you a punch Ai'Ae. You must thankful for Ai'Pete kindness. He stopped me and hosted dinner party while you had fun with your new friends and wom.. humpp!!" In the middle of Can's speech, Tin silenced Can's mouth with shoving squid into Can's mouth.
When Can's mention Ae's birthday, I couldn't process anything in my head, I got stunned. Slowly, I looked at Ae's expression from the corner of my eyes. I can't describe Ae's expression, but one thing for sure is sadness. That's make me worry.
Our table become quiet.
"Err...by the way, next week we have holiday right. How about we have football sparring?" P'Type deliberately change the topic.
"Hey, why football? We can eat instead of practice. How about we try the new barbecue shop?" Bow excitedly explain the barbecue shop which have good discount for opening sales.
"Okay, in the afternoon we'll have football practice then in the evening we'll have barbecue. How about that?"
"Easy for you to say that Ai'Ping. You don't have lover so you don't know that holiday is so precious. I want to spend my time with my Cha Aim. Yes babe?" Pond blinks his eye at his girlfriend.
"Nah, I wanna be with you guys rather than with my boyfriend." Cha Aim gives Pond the same blink.
"It's decided then. We'll have football sparring and barbecue next week. I'll tell another football members to come." P'Type confirmed the plan.
"Yes P'Type, and tell P'Techno that he'll paying for barbecue, haha."
"He definitely will go broke paying your food Can. You're like eating machine." P'Type amused at Can.
"Pete, you must come okay. Call me or Ai'Tin if you need a ride."
"Thank you Can, but..." I'm not sure if I can go, so I look at Ae.
"We'll go, but for the barbecue only. I won't let you got sunburn, you'll get sick." Ae told me that, and I'm understand. So I give Ae smile and a nod.
"It's late, let's go home guys. Pete must rest." Cha Aim suggests and another guests nod.
"Ai'Ae, Ai'Pete, thanks for the food. So delicious."
"Thanks for coming too Cha Aim." Cha Aim gives me a hug and I hugged her back.
After saying goodbye, all of the guests go home. Our home become quiet. Just me and Ae in the dining room. Ae takes all the plates into sink and proceed to wash them.
"Let me wash these first and I'll take you to bed." Ae softly said that.
"It's fine Ae, Pete can walk by myself. And Pete wants to help Ae."
"Pete..."
I ignores Ae's warning, and walk slowly towards my husband. Before I reached Ae's place, Ae rushes at me and hold my waist.
"Walk slowly Pete, I won't let you fall."
"Haha, Pete walks slow enough Ae, I can't faster than this actually. And Ae doesn't have to hold Pete, I'll be careful okay. "
"But I can't. I'm so worried. Your feet is not strong enough to walk."
"That's way Pete needs to practice to walk." I gives Ae a peck on his cheek.
"Humm, need more." Ae gives me another side of his cheek to kiss.
"Pete will gives Ae more kisses after we finish wash these plates okay."
"Then, I'll kiss you instead." Ae kisses my cheeks, forehead, and begin to sniffing my neck.
"Ae krub~~~"
