When Bran arrived at the airport in Seattle, the Alpha of the Emerald City Pack was there to meet him. Angus Hopper lowered his head and averted his gaze when Bran approached. "Bran, I'm so sorry to hear about your mate. Leah, was it?" Bran nodded, while his wolf paced inside his mind. He needed a new mate, and soon. Angus seemed to notice Bran's unease. Best to tread carefully, he thought. "Please, follow me. I will take you to Charles," Angus said. The Marrok nodded again. The sooner he could see his son, the better. And talking about his ex-mate wasn't doing any favors for his already fragile control. As they left the airport, Bran worried how Charles was doing. After all, it must be pretty bad to have Anna that upset. Little did he know, things were about to get a whole lot worse.
