Crimson smiled as she slowly started to pack her things. She didn't own much, granted she lived on the Isle but her mother never let her have much either. Tears suddenly stung her eyes as she recalled her friendship with Freyja who sadly wasn't chosen but was so happy to see she was off to Auradon. She was going alone, from what the guard told her the other 3 children going with her where all kids she tried to avoid or they avoided her. Who's to say what her life would be like in Auradon, it could be just like here...trapped in a cage while bullies drag you down. She could handle Alister considering he was the only one to notice her and bully her at the same time but what if she had to face more then one bully there? She quickly wiped away her tears as she heard the door to the shop open.
"I'm sorry were clos-" she started but stared in horror seeing Alister standing there. Red paint only covered his hands, clothes and a few specks of his hair. She waited for the anger from her prank to come but his eyes seemed more sad then angry.
"So uh...I heard the news" he said looking at her.
"Guess you don't need me for your little mission now" she said.
"No we probably still do, but....congrats"
Crimson raised an eyebrow as she didn't believe a word this boy would say. She had bruises from his tricks before after all.
"Guess you'll have to find another person to bully now" she said.
Alister let out a weak chuckle before shaking his head.
"Nah there's only room for one person in that boat I'm afraid, but Crimson....good luck"
Then like that he was gone, no shouting to anger the Queen Of hearts, no kicking over broken flower pots, nothing. She couldn't tell if she should be surprised or afraid...
