Captive

Deciding to pull the row boat a shore and hide it, just in case I ever needed it again was a lot more difficult of a task then I had thought it would be. If the row boat was a person it would be an extremely overweight sumo wrestler. Lucky for me the jungle went right up to the shore line on this part if the island. Once the boat was a good depth into the forest and was surrounded by bushes and tree trunks I began the task of camouflaging it. Using mud I coated it and stuck leaves and sticks to the row boat finishing off the job by adding a few slugs. "Perfect" I thought for it was indeed perfect in fact it looked like a huge boulder; I was not being biased at all. I headed back to the beach to sweep away my foot prints since they began there. Looking at the water I could make out the outline faint out line of the prirate ship through the fog. Turning away I grabbed a falllen palm leaf and began erasing my foot prints as I walked from the beach until I found a suitable tree for me to climb and hide in. Chucking my plam fron away I began sclaing the tree. Finally I found a decent branch about 15ft. up and stopped there. Leaning up against it with my back pack on my back, I drifted off to sleep.

✧Dream✧

I could hear voices but couldn't see anything.

"I can sense someone on the island, an intruder."

"Shall we hunt them down now or wait 'till morning?"

"Wait 'till morning, they don' t seem like our biggest threat."

"Of course, we'll leave at dawn."

"Good now go alret some boys to come with you, then get some shut eye."

"Yes sir."

"Oh and Felix, try to keep this intruder alive this time will you?"

"Whatever you like-"

✖End of Dream✖

"Chirp chirp chirp!" Ah stupid bird I was about to hear the persons name. Wait why can't I see anything?

"Your eyes are closed ya ding!" a voice spoke in my head. Oh. Opening my eyes I found myself still in my tree. Looking down surrounded my a clump of bushes I found my 'boulder'. After taking a second to think I decided to go back to the beach to freshen up before exploring the island. It wasn't hard to find the opening to the beach in the dense, unusually dark forest. And I didn't mean dark as in shaded from the sun dark, I meant night, evil, sadness, the type that sent shivers up your spine, dark. Not a flower grew not a animal stirred. The trees weren't even a pleasant shade of green, but a almost black green almost. My feet had just reached the sand when I thought I heard a twig crack. Turning 180 degrees, I scanned the jungle, not seeing anyone or anything, I turned back to the ocean. The ocean did not reflect the island in any way. With crystal clear waters and bright fish swimming in and out of large coral heads planted in the white sand bottom. Finding a rock to sit on I went into my bag and brought out some crackers to eat. After finishing my 'breakfast' I quickly brushed my hair before twisting it into a wrap around braid so when I wore my hood to conceal my face it would also conceal my, I could tuck my hair away in it. Satisfied I got off the rock and set back into the jungle. Staying in the shadows I adventured forward without a real destination. I had been going only a few minutes when a rustling came from a bush a little behind me. Pulling my hood over my face I drew my knife and looked around. Suddenly in the shadows in the shadows I could make out a hooded figure behind me. Putting more confidence into my voice then I had I spoke, "Who are you and what do you want?"

The hooded figure let out a low chuckle before responding, "I think I should actually be asking you that so you donʻt die, yet." i suddenly became I aware of five other hooded figuers surronding me and slowly closing in. "Now let me ask you, who are you and what do you want?"
