I could not believe she survived! And with that hot doctor! What am I even doing with this group of hooligans? Why did I even consider them to be my friends? In school, I was always an introvert and they seemed so nice in the beginning to me.

When we went out as a group, Zachary was never this ruthless or this mean. He was just obsessed with games all the time. He took martial arts as his co-curricular activity as he had liked to portray his characters but it was all just for fun! However, in the past few months, he started becoming really aggressive. He was upset over not winning the game tournaments and he became rude to everyone he met.

When Cassie was insulted by Zac at the train tunnels, I jumped at the chance to go with someone new. I felt guilty for leaving the group behind but I was fed up with Zac’s attitude. He did save us at the hospital though, so I had felt obliged to follow him after that. He deliberately left Cassie behind because no one was supposed to talk to him like that.

The first time I saw her after that, I was shocked. She was living so well, with that doctor who we all thought left us behind to die. Yet, here we were struggling to live day to day, and being bossed around by Zac. He loved loud music and refused to turn it off. We lost both Sam and Isaac because of that! We hardly made it out of IKEA too! Cassie and the two guys just ran out of there and slayed those incoming zombies like it was something they did it every day, easily and coordinated.

We had to run up to the roof to wait them out. Zac still could talk about killing zombies like it was his game. Tactical version four; use chainsaw. He seemed to be living the time of his life. We all were worried about our families and wanted to look for them but all we did everyday was run from zombies and sleep in that ridiculously uncomfortable van!

Grace was treated the worse. Zachary called her names all the time, about being old and useless. He would also hit her for fun or out of frustration at random periods. When he kicked her out at the school, I felt both relieved and fear for her as the zombies were heading her way. As we drove away, I continued to watch her, praying that she would be safe. She was the only nice person who I could have talked to in this group and now, I was left alone.

To my utter surprise and frustration, Cassie actually showed up with another girl to rescue her! I wished that I had left the group at the moment at the same time with Grace. Anywhere was better than this group. I kept quiet though as I watched Zac drive away happily, with evil look in his eyes. I did not believe that people could be shaped by games before this, but I knew better than now. Games were an outlet for the people to express themselves, especially people like him. Now that the games were real, his real violence was unleashed.

A week later, we decided to go Sentosa. As it turned out, it was relatively zombie free except for the group of zombies trapped in Resort World. Zac was suggesting that we use them as combat training and take over the place but when he saw Cassie and the doctor, he decided to release them so that they would attack them instead. He did not even consider that once again, we would have had to run!

For the next few days, we continued to stay at Sentosa, enjoying the hotels but always on a lookout for the group of about thirty zombies that we had released earlier. I resigned myself to thinking that that was the life I was going to live forever until I saw Cassie again. I did not think she would come back to Sentosa after running from the zombies the last time. Zac had yet to see her fortunately. I started racing up the beach to warn her.
