When Machiko came to she was in an unknown room her wounds taken care of and cured. Naruto was curled up beside her and a brown-haired shinobi was sitting in front of her with a huge scar on the left side of his face and running through the bridge of his nose.
"I see you are awake." The shinobi smiled at her with a kind smile. "My name is Raido Namiashi or as you might have come to know me, Wolf. You two will be under my care from now on."
"Thank you Namiashi-san for saving us." Machiko tried to bow only to twitch from pain.
"Don't overexert yourself Machiko. And just call me Raido." He smiled at Machiko "I healed your internal wounds and patched up your external ones." Raido started scowling at remembering all the wounds she saw on her. "I will make dinner, and show you two around the house afterward."
Later that night the three of them were sitting around the table eating in an awkward silence.
"So... What can you two tell me about yourselves, apart from being the infamous 'demon twins'?" Raido tried to smooth out the tension that the two kids have felt, only to feel them freeze over the 'nickname' the villagers gave them. "Not like it is bad or anything!" He backed off awkwardly lifting his arms in the universal sign of surrender.
"Who is that?" Naruto asked desperately trying to find a new topic for the conversation before their new dad did something stupid. So he pointed at the first picture in his line of sight.
"Who? Oh him? He was the 4th Hokage, Minato Namikaze." Raido sighed in a depressed mood.
"The Fourth? But we just met with Lord Third!" Machiko looked at Raido inquisitively. Raido just nodded.
"Have you heard about the fox festival?" That question made both Machiko and Naruto shudder, they only nodded not finding their voice, afraid of what was coming next. Raido was just looking at the picture in melancholy. "That was the day the Fourth died. He... He died protecting the village. While we his guard squadron could only watch." He broke down before the kids, he Raido Namiashi broke down. He smiled a weak smile at Naruto. "Naruto you look so much like him sometimes it feels as if I were looking at him."
"I do? I have never seen myself in a mirror y'know?" He scratched his head awkwardly and eye-smiling at Raido. This shocked him to the core, he was told that the child of Kushina and Minato died with them since he has never been found by the Third Hokage.
"Wait here there is something I have to ask of Lord Third!" Raido flickered away to the front door of the Sarutobi residence. He knocked twice and waited.
"Oh, Raido is that you? Come in come in!" Asuma invited his old team member.
"Is Lord Third here?" Raido asked with a face paled. "I have to ask him about something important."
"Oh, shame we don't spend as much time together since you became a Hokage guard. We should really catch up. And to answer your question no he isn't here yet. He should still be in the office. Last time I checked the old man still had mountains of paperwork." Asuma shrugged. "You wanna wait for him or you will go to the Hokage towe... Damn it must be important if he rushed off like that."
"Lord Hokage! I need to talk to you alone!" Raido shouted as she flickered into the Hokage office scaring Hiruzen into dropping his Icha Icha with a red face.
"Khm... Khm... What is of the matter Raido?" He asked after he motioned the hidden Anbu to leave.
"Is Naruto Uzumaki the son of Lord Fourth and Kushina?" He asked without beating around the bush.
"Err... yes?" Hiruzen answered slowly.
"He has to know! He has every right to know his origins! As should the village, they are hurting the only child of Minato Namikaze because Minato died! You saw what they did to those two! They have to know, or they might kill Naruto and Machiko!" Raido, the one who never lost his composure, was shouting at the Hokage.

FanfictionI have read a lot of Naruto FanFics, where either the characters got too carried away and "befriended" the Akatsuki while not going rogue, or just the characters have been plainly murdered. So I realized Naruto was a good story, but if we throw a pe...
