Chapter 3

Four, nearly five, years have passed since Naruto learned of his heritage and accepted Machiko into the Namikaze family. Today was the day they would start at the Ninja Academy and they were excited, well Naruto was. Machiko wasn't all too keen at having to study all of the elementary stuff, again. Luckily she was able to generate enough static to be able to use a leather whip as a staff if the need arose, since Iruka Umino, their teacher who was good friends with Raido, forbade her of using her own metallic whip on academy grounds. 

She also created small 'earplugs' that she could use either to listen to self-created music through the vibrations she made through electrostatics and electromagnetism or to heighten her hearing. She gave a pair to Naruto as well she could communicate with him silently. Machiko also promised to herself that she would teach him how to create electromagnetic waves even if it took her years. She also wondered how to create radio waves, that could be useful without the help of the satellite system that had been launched at around 1000 After Tsukuyomi, AT for short, plus-minus hundred years. She managed to create one amplifier, that amplified the waves so it could be used all around Konoha, the only problem with it was, that the machine weighed triple her weight, so she couldn't carry it around at all, which made its usefullness equal to zero.  

Well, it was good when it came to pranking, but sadly her brother stopped pranking others when he was four years old and started to seriously focus on his training. And although Machiko did like to train, a lot actually, but her favorite pass time was and will be pranking others. But the worst was that she was considered a Namikaze by everyone, so no one chased after her when she dropped paint on others heads, everyone just laughed it off.

She was officially furious, with them for their lack of response. Thus she stopped the pranks not long after Naruto did, and focused on creating all kinds of 'futuristic shit' to quote her adoptive father. Raido Namiashi warmed up quite fast with the kids, as did his 'very good friend' Anko Mitarashi. Nowadays Anko was sleeping over at their place when she didn't have a mission. And once Raido and Anko forgot to put up the silencing seals around their room, let's just say that the sounds still haunt poor Naruto, who decided that he didn't need a girlfriend as mean as Anko. Luckily he did have enough instincts for survival, to say that after Anko left for the mission she had the next day.

Machiko entered her brother's room and elbowed his sleeping form in the stomach, whit a huge shout. "Wake up you lazy idiot, or we will be late from school."

"Agrrrrr... What is your problem woman, that hurt as fuck! Ugh..." Naruto jumped up from his bed while swearing like Anko whenever she hurts herself accidentally. 

"Get up you lazy bum, and get ready, I already made breakfast for you..." At that Naruto bleached even more and was trying to force the gag reflex down.

"I... I... think there is no time to eat, we have to hurry to school, yeah we haaaauch!" He cried out when Machiko took ahold of his left ear.

"I don't think I heard you well Na-ru-to-sa-ma! "She whispered in a sickeningly sweet voice, while her hair was rising up.  Raido just chuckled at the sight, if he didn't know any better he would really believe that Machiko was Kushina's daughter, the way they handled the Namikaze was just so eerily similar. 

"I was just saying that I love the food you make sis!" He rushed and started wolfing down the charred toast, with a lot of 'gusto', while tears were freely flowing from his eyes.

"Oh, come on now... don't be such a baby... fine, fine you don't have to finish it..." Machiko sighed as her adoptive brother rushed to the toilet to spit out the toast. She grabbed two apples and went to wait by the door for Naruto. 

"Oh, thanks Machiko!" Naruto bit into the apple with glee when she threw it at him. 

They left Raido's home together and went to the academy when they arrived at the campus their eyes widened. But for very different reasons. Machiko's first and foremost thought was: They are all kids! She thought that they came in early, but in reality, not at all. In her time, they couldn't start learning how to be a ninja before, they were 13. And that was in a warring period! This place was at peace! Why are they making murderers out of little kids?

Meanwhile, Naruto's thoughts revolved around how he will be the best, of the best, and become a Hokage better than his father. Through these thoughts, he was giddy and awaiting the academy.

An Anbu masked guy was looking over the two kids with his single eye, and he didn't miss the flicker of disgust, on the Machiko's face, but he only took it as a rebellious period in her life. He had been spending more and more time with his late master's son and Naruto's adoptive sister. He felt as if he met with his long lost family again, he thought why couldn't he become their brother. Kakashi sighed at that thought and took out his 'not' perverted book. He couldn't understand why Machiko always stole it and started reading it. Once when Raido noticed Machiko reading the Icha Icha he threatened Kakashi with burning all of them.

That was when a shout shook him out of his reverie. "Kashi!" Naruto was waving at him enthusiastically. "Kashi! Here!" Kakashi just sighed at his little brother figure and jumped down to greet them.

"Was it Machiko who told you where I was, or have your senses become even sharper Naruto?" He eye-smiled at the two kids, even if they couldn't really see it with the mask on. Machiko just pointed at his brother not even acknowledging the Jonin, she was still pissed that Kakashi stole all of her books that she hid from Raido.

"It was me! But Machiko told me not to call you over... something about Bakashi mean or something like that." Naruto awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, while Kakashi let out a long-suffering sigh.

"Don't tell me you are still hung up on that event!" He exclaimed exasperatedly." That was 2 months ago! And you talked to me normally yesterday." 

"Well, she told me to tell you when we meet next time that, if you are training us she will talk to you as if everything was normal while we are training. But otherwise, she won't until you return her books..." Naruto relayed awkwardly, still not really understanding if all of this was necessary for a few stupid books.

"But if I return them to you Raido is going to kill me you know that?" At that Machiko just turned her nose up and walked into the building. Naruto followed her while yelling for her to wait up, after bidding farewell to Kakashi. He just shook his head and suddenly felt like a Nara. He really wanted to mutter, 'Troublesome woman!', but in the end he didn't, he just took his post on the tree looking at the classroom the children would be in, and letting his Anbu team take up positions around the perimeter, all the while thinking on a compromise that would help him warm back up to Machiko, and in a way that Raido wouldn't try to kill him. Especially since his squad was in Raido's platoon. He shuddered even thinking about what kind of an overprotective father Raido became. He lost his wife in the Nine tail's attack, together with his child... And he nearly fell off the tree he was sitting on. He totally forgot what had happened, when he went over to the collapsed hospital and found a baby in a severed hand. "Dog take over for me! I have to tell something to Raido, now!" he told his subordinate lazing right under the tree his spot was on.

"Yes Captain-Inu!" He instantly snapped to attention and jumped up the tree to where Kakashi was. 

After that Kakashi left and went over to the Hokage tower, he burst into the Hokage's room without any fanfare.

"I need to talk to General-Wolf, Hokage-sama!" He rushed out as soon as he entered. Hiruzen just nodded, and they left the room.

"General-Wolf sir! I just remembered a piece of important information about Machiko that I put into the back of my mind, sir! I was the one to save her from the hospital that day, from a severed hand of a nurse, sir! She was the lone survivor. I gave her to the Matron, and she was the one to decide on naming her as Machiko."

Raido nearly stumbled as he tried to come to terms with the fact, that she might indeed be her daughter. Although he didn't know if the baby was supposed to be a boy or a girl. But there weren't that many people giving birth at that time, as far as he knew, only his wife was.
