*Delilah's P.O.V.*
I woke up in the middle of the night to someone next to me tossing and turning. I sat up and looked to my right to see Ben. Just then, I remembered what had happened last night, which gave me the answer to why he was here. I put a hand on his shoulder and lightly shook him.
"Ben." I whispered
His eyes slowly opened. His eyes scanned the room before finally landing on me.
"Delilah. Are you alright?" He asked in a husky voice
"I'm fine, but the more important question is are you? You kept tossing and turning in your sleep." I explained
"Oh, yeah sorry about that. Could we talk now? I know it's early, but I can't wait any longer. Something is on your mind and you'll feel better if you tell me." He reassured
I felt a lump form in my throat. I had to tell him the truth. It wasn't going to be easy.
"Well, last night when you and the boys were busy talking, Lucy and I went out." I said
"Yes I know." He said
"Well... well here goes nothing! We went to the tattoo shop around the corner." I explained
"You got a tattoo? That's awesome. What is it?"
"Yes I did get one actually. But you see, that's the problem. I'm afraid to show you."
"Why on Earth would I hate your tattoo?" He asked
I was in my outfit from last night, which consisted of a nice shirt, and a black skirt. I got up out of bed, going over to the other side so I was standing in front of Ben.
"Promise me one thing." I said
He sat up.
"Of course." Ben said
"Don't freak out, and if you hate it, I'll get it removed." I said
"Delilah, you don't have to get t removed if I hate it, but I promise I won't freak out." He said
I walked over by the door and turned the bedroom light on. I walked back over to Ben.
I took a deep breath before lifting the side of my skirt, just enough for him to see it.
He scanned over it with his eyes for a few seconds before looking up at me. I was already looking at him.
"What does it mean?" He asked
"Until the end." I said
"And that's-?" He stopped
"Your birthdate." I finished
"Can I touch it?" Was all he asked
I nodded.
He took his fingers and brushed them across the words permanently etched into my hip.
"It's beautiful. I love it." He mumbled
"What was that Ben?" I asked nervously
"I love it. It's absolutely perfect!" He exclaimed
We made eye contact.
"You really mean that?" I asked
"I promise." He said
"Thanks Ben. So you're not mad?"
"Not at all. I love you." He said
I looked away.
"I love you too, I'm going back to bed." I said
He just lightly laughed. I walked over by the door again, and turned the light off. I went back under the covers. I was facing Ben's back. He was on his phone. He groaned.
