Secrets

When I woke up, Jake was gone. I was worried...I didn't know why. A few minutes later, that's when I saw Jake come in the room.

"Morning Bethany" Jake said. "Morning" said Bethany. "So I have breakfast downstairs if your hungry and then we can go to the library and look up records on your parents so we can find them" Jake replied. "Thanks"

When we got to the library I got a little nervous that Ray or Madeline would be there and take me back...or worse hurt me.

"So did you tell your parents about me yet?" Bethany said.

"Yeah I just said that your a friend staying over because your parents are away" Jake replied. "Okay that's good"

"So how old are you?" Jake asked. "I'm 17, what about you?" I asked. "18" he said. "Cool" I replied.

"So you want to go out for lunch or Something" when Jake asked me for lunch, I thought it was like a date, but I said yes anyways. "Yeah, I'd like that."

When we went to a little Italian restaurant we ordered pasta. "Hey Jake I'm going to use the bathroom" said Bethany. "Okay take your time" Jake said. When I went to the bathroom I looked in the mirror and...I didn't recognized myself. I was saying "who am I? Who is this girl? Where do I belong?" So many questions that I know maybe never to be solved....at that moment I envied what Jake had. A family, a home, a pet. If only Jake really knew.

When we were walking to Jake's car after we ate, I saw Ray across the street. So I told Jake to hurry in the car before he seems me.

"Jake hurry he's there!" Said Bethany. Finally we were in the car and Jake didn't seem himself. "Jake are you okay?" Said Bethany. "Yeah I'm fine" Jake replied. But he looked as if he saw a ghost....or he's seeing Something that I can't even see.

When we got back to Jake's house he introduced me to his mom. "Hi I'm Clare you must me Bethany" "yes hi I'm Bethany thank you so much for letting me stay a few days" Bethany replied.

"It's no problem at all, so you go to the same school as Jake?" Clare asked. "Um" said Bethany while Jake interrupted. "Yes she's in my classes and we sit at lunch together, she's new" Jake implied. "Well welcome to the neighborhood, why don't you kids go up stairs for a few hours while I make dinner" "Okay mom" Jake said.

When we got in Jake's room it was so cold like being outside playing In the snow. "Jake is your air vent on?" Bethany said.

"No, look I have to tell you Something....it's a secret that not even my parents know." Jake said. "I won't say anything" Bethany said. "I see ghosts" when Jake told me he saw ghosts, I was a little scared, knowing that someone, Something could be watching me. "I think it's really cool, that you can see ghosts, but why don't you just tell your parents" Bethany asked. "Because then they would take me to a doctor to see if I'm imagining them, but I'm not. I'm helping them." "I think that's sweet"

"Really" Jake said. "Yes." At that moment, Jake got up and kissed me on the lips and I kissed him back. It's weird how you can like someone so fast. But I had to focus on finding my parents.

When we went down for dinner we had steak and potatoes. Then I went into the guest bedroom so I can lay down.

"Hey Bethany?" Jake whispered. "What's up?" Bethany replied. "Want to sneak out to the park?" Jake said.

"Sneak out?" I laughed. "doesn't your mom know?" Bethany said. "No she's sleeping besides we'll be back in no time" "okay" Bethany said.

When we got to the park there was a group of guys, maybe 6 or 7. Good thing Jake was with me.

"Hey boys" Jake said. "What up bro" Tom said. "Nothing much man, this is my friend Bethany." Jake said. "Ah Bethany" Tom said. "Hi" Bethany said.

"So, let's smoke some bud man" Tom

said. "No thanks man, we just came for a walk. Jake said. "Alright man we were just leaving, goodnight...oh and Ashley was asking for you." Tom said while walking away.

"Wow he's...seems like a good friend" said Bethany. "Haha yep that's Tom" Jake said. "So who's Ashley? Bethany asked. "My ex" Jake said.

"Oh" Bethany said. "But it's so over between us" Jake said. "I guess that's good" "yeah" Jake said while grabbing my hand to hold my hand.

I hope Jake is really over her....because...I think I'm starting to have feelings for him.
