While on the way home from the beach, Hoppo and Jessica were talking in the car. After what seemed like an hour drive, we pulled up to a big house with a fence around it.
Jessica's POV:
"Wow! This is your house?!" This house was three times the size of mine back in the USA. "Yeah, we needed a big house because we host weekly barbecues for the lifeguards and the girls like having their friends over so it was a win-win situation for us." "That's awesome though that you guys can host all your friends!" Pulling up to the garage, I saw a big banner hanging over the garage door that said WELCOME TO OUR HOME, JESSICA! After grabbing my stuff from the car, we walked into the big kitchen, where Karen and the girls had a whole array of food waiting for me. "Welcome Jessica! We are so happy you're here!" I was given a big hug by Karen and the girls, and as the girls showed me to my room, I was met by the most beautiful room with a gorgeous color palette with lots of windows:
"Wow! I feel this is too big for me! I mean, I'm only staying for a couple weeks." "Don't worry about it Jessica! When my mom heard you were coming, she decided you get to have the biggest guest room in our house!" As I walked through the room, it had a gorgeous view of a big pool in the backyard, with a cascading waterfall on one side and a huge waterslide on the other side. "We'll let you get freshened up before eating a quick late lunch; we've got a barbecue happening tonight with guys from Dad's work so we need to get ready for that." "Ok sounds good! I'll be down in a few." As soon as the girls mentioned that, my heart skipped a beat. I don't know why, but deep down, I really hoped Harrison would be coming by. I guess I could ask the girls who usually come, but I don't want to make it to obvious.
After freshening up and eating a quick lunch, I helped aunt Karen make appetizers and snacks for the barbecue tonight, while uncle Hoppo and the girls were in the backyard making sure everything was properly set up for the lifeguards.
"So Jessica, I hope uncle Hoppo wasn't too embarrassing when he introduced you to Harrison and Jesse!" "Ah, he wasn't, but he told me he would make it clear to the guys that if they hurt me, they would need to answer to him." Karen laughed, "Jessica, he's only looking out for you. Ever since your father died, he's been even more protective of the girls, and when he heard you were coming, he especially kicked into overprotective mode. Before the guys come tonight, I'll talk to him and tell him to take it easy on you and the lads. Besides, it's your vacation and you should be open to some love! Is there anyone in mind?" Thinking back to when I met Harrison, I debated whether or not I should tell aunt Karen. "Well, when I met Harrison and Jesse, I was kind of attracted to Harrison." "Girl, I don't blame you! That boy is one of the sweetest blokes I've ever met, and if you deserve anyone, it's definitely him. I do think he's coming tonight with Jesse and Maxi; they all share an apartment and they love free food and alcohol so there's a 99% chance they're coming!" When aunt Karen mentioned that they would be coming, my mind wandered to what I should wear tonight. Thinking that it is a pool party and a barbecue, I did have a cute two-piece set with a cute cover-up that I could wear overtop.
