After the hour drive from McDonald's to Sydney Harbour, we arrived at a gorgeous water front.
Jessica's POV:
We arrived at the most gorgeous water front I have ever seen. Hopping out of the car, I walked to the waterfront and gazed out. I was lost in my thoughts when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "Gorgeous isn't it?" "The view?" "No, I'm not talking about the view, Jessica." Looking up at him, he lowered his head down to meet mine, and he kissed me. Even if it was for a few seconds, I turned around and leaned my forehead against his. "Jessica, there's something I've been meaning to say. Ever since Hoppo introduced you to us, I've been in love with you. And ever since you bumped into me on the first day of your work, I fell in love with you even more." I smiled. "I have a question for you, Jessica Maree Smith. Will you be my girlfriend?" Giving him a kiss, I nodded and said, "Yes Harrison, I'll be your girlfriend!" Laughing, he picked me up and swirled me around. "Harrison! Put me down!" I giggled but I loved that he wasn't embarrassed to do the cheesy relationship stuff in public.
Harrison's POV:
I can't believe Jessica said yes to being my girlfriend! After kissing her, I took her hand and we took a nice long walk along the promenade. Passing by several cute little bars and coffee shops, I pulled her into the Sydney Opera House café with views overlooking the water and the Sydney Opera House in near sight.

Asking the waitress to seat us near the water, we both sat down on the same side of the table, putting Jessica's bag up on the table. Reaching for the menus, I relaxed my hand on her leg while Jessica reached for her phone to check her messages. "You know Jessica, now that we're an official couple, we're going to have to keep things on the professional level at work." "I know. Which is going to be hard to do with the boys bugging us about each other. Hoppo already won't be pleased if we don't act professional around each other at work. He'll have to take some time to adjust to the idea of us; so what if when you drop me off, we both go in and tell Hoppo and Karen that we're officially dating?" "Sounds good to me!" Giving her a quick kiss, she pulled me closer for warmth and asked me what to get from the menu.
Jessica's POV:
I can't believe I'm officially Harrison Reid's girlfriend! Pulling out my phone, I had text messages from my mom, asking how my first day went. "Hey mom! Sorry I haven't been able to text you, but I am on a date now! One of the lifeguards asked me out for supper, and now, we're officially boyfriend and girlfriend! We'll have to FaceTime sometime so I can introduce you both <3" Within seconds, I had a reply: "What?! Oh Jessica I'm so happy for you! I would love to meet this young man who has stolen your heart! Does uncle Hoppo know?" "He knows we're out on a date, but he doesn't know that Harrison asked me to be his girlfriend. We're going to tell him tonight." Putting my phone down, I focused on Harrison. "So Harrison, now that we're a couple, we need to get to know each other! Tell me about your childho-" "Harrison? Is that you?" We both looked up and saw Jesse and Maxi standing in front of us. "Hey boys! How's it going?" "It's going good! Maxi got frustrated because I kept winning against him in Call of Duty so we decided to go grab some coffee! So, how's the first date?" Harrison and I looked at each other, and smiled. "Maxi. Jesse. Harrison and I are officially a couple!" Maxi and Jesse jumped up and gave Harrison and I a big hug. "Wow! We're so happy for you guys! Hey lads! Harrison and Jessi are dating!" With confusion on our faces, we looked up and saw a lot of lifeguards, including Hoppo and Karen, stand up from adjoining tables and walk over to us. Chappo and Whippet were the first ones to greet us and give us a big hug and a high-five. Hoppo and Karen stayed at the end of the line, and when they came to us, I was prepared for a big speech. "Harrison and Jessica, we are both so so happy for you! By the way, we knew all along that Harrison was wanting to ask you to be his girlfriend; that's why Hoppo asked Harrison to come to his office. It was all part of the plan to act all 'macho' and angry that he made that comment." Looking at all of their faces, I was shocked! "Wait, this was all part of the plan?!" "Well, besides me being macho and angry, which I was, yes this was all part of the plan." I looked at them all in shock and just started laughing. "Wow guys! Great way to welcome an American girl to the country!" They all laughed and we spent the rest of the evening chatting and drinking beers.
After Harrison drove me home and walked me to the front door, I thanked him for such a nice evening and gave him a goodnight kiss.
Jessica's POV:
After walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water, I checked my social media and saw that a lot of people had sent me DM's about my story. One person said: I can't believe you're dating him! So happy for you both! After scrolling and replying to couple of messages, I headed up to my room and got ready for bed. Before I went to sleep, I texted Harrison: "Hey handsome! Just wanted to say thanks again for such a great night! Can't wait to see you tomorrow <3" He replied back instantly: "Hey gorgeous! You're very welcome ;) thank you for saying yes to being my girlfriend.. see you tomorrow! Good-night <3" After that, I set my alarm for 6:15 in the morning and plugged my phone into the charger. Getting comfortable in my bed, I laid there thinking about my first day and my first date. I couldn't wait till I could see Harrison again tomorrow at work; thinking about seeing him tomorrow, my eyes started getting drowsy until I fell asleep.
Wow! That was quite the date for both Harrison and Jessica! Now, they're going to have to keep things professional between them while working; will they be able to work together without getting distracted?
