Billy sat on the front porch of his ranch house, drinking coffee, getting ready to start the day, and thinking about his days working for John Tunstall and how it would have ended up in jail or dead if Mr Tunstall hadn't took him and gave him a good start in life.

Billy got out to help his ranch hand with rounding up the cattle on the back 40 acres, when he saw a stage coach was having trouble. He called out for his ranch hand: "J.D.! Let's go, see if we can help them!"

Lorna realised two riders heading for the out of control coach. The two managed to make the horses stop and though she was glad the coach was saved, Lorna was in a bad mood, for she was shaken through and her arm bumped on the doorframe of the coach and hurt a little.

Billy tipped his hat.
"You can rest at the house while the stage gets fixed", he told the stage driver.

"Well, sure thanks", Lorna responded instead of the stage driver, a slightly sarcastic tone in her voice, that was easy to miss.

Billy ignored the sarcastic tone. "Driver... What's the trouble anyway?"
"Horses got scared by a rattlesnake", the driver gave back.
Billy took a look on the coach. "The way I see it, it'll take some time till the it's fixed again."

"Anyway, I'll get into the house!", Lorna stated and began walking through the mood while heading for the house.

Sarah jumped out of the coach right after Lorna.
"Is there anything I can do to help?", she kindly asked, but her thoughts were already drifting away. Pa sincerely is worried about me. Like it always was since I was born and even more since Ma got sick and died...

Rowdy climbed out of the coach aswell. "Lemme take a look on it... I'm kinda experienced with trouble like this", he suggested to Frank. Then he turned to Sarah.
"If there's anything, I can do for you, Ma'am..."

Sarah looked at Rowdy and smiled. "Thank you very much. There's nothing you can do right now."
She still was buisy with her thoughts. Yesterday was my birthday! Pa must be worried! I really miss being home at my Pa's store.

Frank took out a letter he got before they left Sweetwater. What it read made him have a worried look on his face. Dear Mr. Frank James, Your brother Jesse has been badly wounded and may not live.

Billy watched Frank reading the letter and saw the worried look on his face. He laid a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong?", he calmly asked.

"Billy!" J.D. tipped on Billy's shoulder. "I can fix the busted wheel, if the driver wants me to do so." The ranch hand's look fell on Frank. He sure looked like he had gotten some bad news.

Frank looked at Billy and his look went over to Rowdy before he looked back on the ground. "I may... I may lose my baby brother Jesse... I was... I am very close to him... I... I helped my Ma raise him up after... after our Pa ran out on us... to... to look for gold..."

Buck put his hand on Frank's shoulder to comfort him. "I know how you feel. I am very close to a fellow rider named Ike. He... can hear you. He just can't... can not speak. A fever made him lose his voice."

(By gunfighterout256)

Billy looked at Frank. "It... It might be an unfitting time, but... The coach is fixed. I wanted to ask you, if you could take some 'help wanted' papers to Kearney for me. I need some more hands. Right now we're only two working this ranch. J.D. and I..."

Chavez rode to a ranch called 'second Chance Ranch'. He saw Billy outside and decided to ride up to his ranch to say hello to him. After all he was his best friend ever since they had first met on Mr. Tunstall's ranch, when Mr. Tunstall gave Billy a second chance on his ranch.

Sarah got back on the stage and looked out of the window. She couldn't wait to see her pa.

Rowdy also got inside the coach. He took place next to Sarah and gave her a grin.
"You glad, that we get goin' again?", he asked.
Lorna got inside too. She looked disgusted down at the mud on her shoes.
