kaysha yawned lightly as she flipped the bacon on the pan, singing along quietly to the conan gray coming from her airpods.
once the bacon looked good enough to her, she divided the pieces onto the four plates that already held french toast and eggs.
thank god i went grocery shopping my second day here, these bitches got NOTHING in they kitchen.
"aw kay, you cooked for us?" she heard from behind her.
the girl turned around and there stood four of the boys, of course not one of them being her damned brother.
kaysha placed the four plates on her arms, careful not to drop any. this was a task she had grown accustomed to as she would cook and bring her siblings food every day.
"bold of you to assume any of this is for you." kaysha smiled lightly at nick, whose voice she recognized had asked the question.
chuckling at their dropped faces, she happily went up the stairs, away from the four men that were now hunting around for any leftovers kaysha had left.
sighing in defeat, brandon stated the obvious.
"she didn't leave any."meanwhile kaysha, being the lovely sister she was, lightly pushed open the door to the room zion and elom were sharing, rolling her eyes at their passed out figures in the beds.
"wake up whores! i made you breakfast." she exclaimed, placing the plates down to hit both boys.
"ow, kaysha fuck off!" elom yelled from under the covers.
kaysha laughed, "fine. i have three boys down there that i can gladly feed since y'all wanna be lazy bitches!" (a/n three cause why would she gladly feed austin's rude ass 💆🏽♀️ i can count i promise)
those words caused them to shoot up from their positions quickly, sitting criss cross applesauce and looking at kaysha happily.
"dumbasses. here." kaysha gave them their respective plates with a fork, giving elom a look when he looked disappointed.
"i'm allergic to cinnamon." he stated the obvious, genuinely sad at the fact that he couldn't eat his french toast.
"that's why i made yours with brown sugar, dumbass. you annoying but i ain't going to jail for killing yo ass."
elom's mood obviously changed as he happily dug in, zion laughing from the bed next to him at his little brother's stupidity.
"you think she'd forget? as if she ain't the reason you discovered you was allergic in the first place?" zion chuckled with a mouthful of bacon.
kaysha rolled her eyes and sighed as the scene flashed before her eyes.
flashback
"okay, this is a new recipe i saw in one of my magazines. i haven't tried it yet but i want you guys to be the first." eleven year old kaysha rambled on happily to her siblings.
each of the kuwonu kids took a piece of the french toast, eight year old elom getting the biggest bite.
as they all dug in, kaysha smiled gleefully, waiting for their reactions.
"woah, kay this is mad good." kekeli clapped her hands after finishing her bite.
"yeah for sure, how you learn to cook like-" zion was cut off by the sound of aggressive coughing.
said noises were coming from elom, who clutched his chest seemingly in pain.
"c'mon elom you ain't gotta do kay that dirty." zion laughed, patting elom's back gently.
kaysha and kekeli laughed softly, but kaysha quickly stopped as elom's coughs turned into breathless noises, and the nine year old suddenly fell limp onto zion's frame.
"oh my god, what the hell?!" kekeli exclaimed frantically.
"ma, pa! help!" zion shouted in the direction of the stairs.
flash forward to hospital
"well we were able to conclude that the cinnamon in the food this young lady made caused mr. kuwonu to have such a severe allergic reaction. we're just going to monitor him for a few more hours and prescribe him an epipen and you guys should be good to go."
the doctor took one last look at kaysha, who hid timidly behind zion, clutching his arm tightly.
"is e gonna be okay caleb?" kaysha whispered.
"yeah, he just can't have cinnamon because if he does then this will happen again. keep that in mind when you cook again, yeah?" her older brother smiled lightly at her.
mandy scoffed at her son's words.
"you, young lady are the reason your brother is in the hospital in the first place. why would you feed him something without asking me first?! use your brain, kaysha."tears pricked at kaysha's eyes as mandy's harsh tone spat hurtful words to her.
"i'm sorry, mama." she frowned, looking at elom's sleeping figure.
"mom, that's not fair at all. you should be glad this happened now because if not then you wouldn't know about elom's food allergy." kekeli stood up for her sister, folding her arms across her chest.
"don't speak to me that way, you should've known better being the eldest sibling."
kaysha drowned out their arguing voices as she buried her face in caleb's chest.
flashback over
"anyway, i'm gonna get this to keli. bye whores." kaysha shook herself out of the memory.
"thanks for the food, kay." zion nodded as elom grunted with his mouth full in agreement.
"anytime." she replied as she walked towards her and kekeli's room.
kaysha smiled at her beautiful older sister as she waltzed in.
"breakfast, baby."
