Then it happened,
Hitting me like a ton of bricks,
What if I no longer lived?

There would be no more worries,
And no more doubts.
No more insecurities,
Or struggling to figure things out.

There would be no more sadness,
No more fear,
No more more pain,
But most importantly there would be no more me.

...

But how could one follow through with such a horrid thought?
How could they not see the profuse amount of love
People expressed towards them?

It was then that I realized that although I did not feel such love,
I still had to acknowledge that it was there.

That love,
Which was much stronger than hope,
Could lead me back towards the right path,
Give me a second chance; a reason to live.

...

It was here at the brink of chaos,
That a shiny white light bled through.
Breaking up the gloomy clouds above me,
Freeing the locked up emotions from within.
Granting me the opportunity to reach out for help,
When I thought no one could help at all.
