I HATE THIS TERM.
There is no "starter bird" or "beginner bird"!
1. I hate this simply because all bird need to be loved equally. You can't just get a bird expecting to get your dream bird afterwards.
2. Though it might be reccomend for your wanted bird to be an experienced owner. If you like a certain species get it (after research, and of course with reason).
3. All birds (not only GCCs) are a commitment. Green Cheeks are a thirty year commitment (with proper care).
