They dropped me off at a pen with lots of horses in it. I whinnied, hoping to see Moondust, but she was not here. I know that this was a good thing, if she had been here, it would mean that the two leggers had found the herd. I saw an appaloosa with a blue eye looking at me. She stayed looking at me, until I started walking towards her. "I'm guessing you're a wilder." She told me, but I had no idea what a "wilder" was. "What?" I asked her. "It means you weren't born with the humans. You were born in the wild." She explained to me. "Yes I was born in the wild, but the humans have caught me for two years now."

I just finished saying that, when the humans came into our pen. They roped me, and then took me out of the pen. "You are too wild, you can't be here, so you're going to be smoked!" the human said. I did not know what that meant, but the appaloosa seemed to. She started attacking the humans, and yelled at me to run. The gate was open, so I took her word for it. I bolted as fast as I could, making it into the area where the bucking happens.

I ran to the edge of it, where the fence was lower, and jumped it. I flew over that fence, and started racing down the trail. There were so many two leggers, but they moved when they saw me coming. I ran, and ran, in the direction of home. I knew this because whenever I was out on an adventure with Moondust, when we would run home and dark was coming, the sun was behind us.
