I ran until I found a small lake. I ran into it, wet with sweat, and very hot. I drank water, but not too quickly, Father had taught me that. After I was cooled off the stars had started to show. I grazed until the moon made the white of my fur glow. The appaloosa with blue eyes had managed to get away with me also grazed and drank. I had found out her name was Blue. Then I lay down, and fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up with the sun peeking through my eyelids. I started walking, towards the sun this time. I ran until the sun was falling back under the mountains. I found a river, a large one, and drank deeply from it. I still did not recognize anything, but within a few more weeks of this, and I would be home. She continued to follow me, strong for a mare. I grazed, until I could not graze anymore, then fell into a quick sleep. I ran for a week or so more, only eating, and drinking at sunset before I collapsed on front of a small horse farm. I was aware of very little, I was only half awake after all.
