Chapter 5 _ Quieres Ver Una Peli?

It was Sunday morning and Valentina woke up early with a huge smile on her face thinking of yesterday and all the fun she had with Juliana. Suddenly she got an idea and pulled out her phone.

She dialed Juliana's number and waited 3 rings before Juliana picked up the phone. "Hey guapa, what are you doing today?" She asked before Juliana could even say hello.

In a sleepy voice Juliana replied, "Hey. Um, I'm going to church with my parents at 9 until 10:30 and then I'm free all day. Did you want to do something?"

"Aye, chiquita did I wake you?" Valentina asked tenderly while freaking out about how cute Juliana sounded in her sleepy voice.

"Yeah but it's okay. My alarm is about to go off anyway, I rather wake to your voice than that annoying beeping. Anyway what's up?" Juliana said wiping the sleep from her eyes.

"Oh yeah almost forgot why I called you! Well, I don't have class tomorrow and neither do you so I was wondering if you want to watch a movie. There's a Drive-In theater off Bradshaw on 50 and I was hoping you'd want to go with me. I know we said we'd see each other Monday but we can't go on Monday because I have to be awake by 4am on Tuesday so I thought tonight would be the best options. But if you can't or don't want to it's okay." Valentina rambled already regretting her decision expecting Juliana to turn her down.

"Vale, Vale, Vale, chill. I'm down. What time? Do you want me to pick you up or meet half way and then we go in my car?" Juliana said with a slight laugh at how cute Valentina sounded when she rambled.

"Really? Awesome! Well, they have a few good movies but they're also showing my favorite one, The Notebook, tonight at 10pm. I'm not sure if you like romantic movies but that's my pick if you ask me. If you want look up other movies and showtime and we can go watch whichever you want?" Valentina said with a slight blush.

"OMG of course you like the notebook. That movie is so cheesy, just like you. It works though, I'm down. How are we gonna do this?" Juliana said while laughing at Valentina.

"Hey don't judge me. I'm a sucker for Rachel McAdams!" Valentina said and then caught herself, "& Ryan Gosling of course. Total hottie. How about we meet outside the In-N-Out by the Drive-In, I send Alirio home, we order from the drive thru, and head over to the theater. Meet at 8?" Valentina said hoping Juliana didn't catch her slip-up.

Juliana definitely caught it but obviously wasn't going to comment, "Sounds good, I've never had In-N-Out so I'll finally see what all the hype is about. It's a date then Val! I have to go get in the shower and get ready for church but I'll text you and I'll see you later morrita, okay?" Juliana said smiling to herself thinking about seeing Valentina later tonight.

"Okay see you then." Valentina said before hanging up and letting herself fall back on her bed with a sigh. She officially has a major crush on Juliana and doesn't know how to approach it if at all. She's never been the one to make the first move, and definitely not with a girl. Valentina was very aware that she was completely crushing on Juliana.

The day went by quickly, los Valdes went to church and had delicious street hotdogs afterwards. They walked to the park next to the church as usual to eat their hotdogs at a table they've grown used to since it's become a part of their Sunday routine. Juliana texted Valentina when they were out of church and continued to text throughout the day until she started driving towards their meet up spot. There wasn't much traffic so she got there fairly quick.

When Juliana pulled up next to Valentina's car she waved to Alirio who was already pulling out of the parking space as Valentina ordered. Throughout their conversations during the day they decided Valentina would spend the night at Juliana's so Juls didn't have to drive so late.
