Now I lay in the obscure park
Gazing at the night sky
Each star telling its own story
Each a gem, a diamond in the rough
They died in each others arms
When their hearts yearned for more
So here I lay beneath the jeweled infinite
To honour their dreams
Truth be told
I find explanations for all of this
But for some reason I want to forget
Just so I get to keep this magic intact
For sometimes,
ignorance is bliss
not knowing is for the better
and being obscure is alright .
