Once upon a time, there was a young girl. She was 5 feet short, cute as h-e-double-hockey sticks. Shorty was kinda thick too. She had pretty caramel skin. I mean she really was cute as hell. She was very intelligent. She loved writing, reading and running. She had the biggest heart ever, mind of a playground full of children running around, yet she was so stubborn. She was so loving, and caring. Which is what made her heart so big. She was so stubborn, that that's what people loved most about her. Don't get me wrong, she knew that being stubborn was a pro and a con. She also knew that it had to change. She couldn't stand the thought of "change". The girl was full of herself , okay. She came up with a question that she asked herself every day. That question was, "How can you grow if you don't change?". She moved different on her own time and didn't let anyone give her any say so. Stubborn! Anyway, one day she realized she didn't want it to be too late. So then guess what? Nothing was the same. August 6, 2012. It doesn't seem as if you'll remember such an odd date. Unless it's your birth date. For her, it was the day after she had gotten her first period. And began her first day of 6th grade middle school. Her name was, STARR JOY.
Imagine getting your first period. It's like dying and trying to get use to dying and coming back to life all over again every month, for 5 days to maybe even a week. It sucks. But STARR knew that, it was something that she had to get use too. And guess what she did? Got use too it. Starr was the girl that everyone loved, and some people hated but she never let that stop her. In 6th grade. ya girl had necks breaking. I'm talking about really breaking people necks. Mind you, it was the first day of her middle school years. STARR JOY had been called to the school's resource officer office. She got called in for bullying this girl over the summer. PETTY RIGHT. On a contract and it's the first fucking day of a new start. SO CRAZY. But she didn't let that stop her. She had everyone, well most, trying to be her friend. Starr was popular, I could say. She def was. Her 11 year old ass got her first little boo biscuit on the 2nd day of her 6th grade year. AND BOY WHO DID SHE THINK SHE WAS WITH THAT LITTLE ASS BOY. They were so young, but so freaking cute. Girls were so jealous of her and that dude she was "dating". His name was Chance. He was fresh. Like always fresh, and of course she was too. Starr's mama made sure she had her baby fly. There's so much you have to and need to know about Starr, instead knowing the basics of that she used to dress fly, or had a little guy friend she pecked every now and then. She was such an amazing person. Starr was a girl who loved music. It didn't matter what kind of music, she would find a vibe. That girl loved to dance. She would dance until she couldn't dance anymore. She would try to be shy from time to time, but of course it came out. Once she got comfortable. There was something about Starr that she thought other's couldn't understand about her. Which was a reason for her stubbornness. Or sometimes she just felt as if, it is best that she keeps everything to herself. Then something came across her mind, and told her that she couldn't keep all of those crazy thoughts to herself. SO she began to write. And boy believe me when I tell you that it got her some where. If Starr couldn't talk to anyone, she would write to her journal. And that was her only get away at the age of 11 years old. As the years went on, she noticed that writing was a thing of self awareness. Which not too many people have or even know that it's possible to notice behaviors about yourself. Behaviors that others may not even know...as Starr wrote she would discover something new about herself every single day. And overall she overcame everything. Ya girl was hard on herself. At such a young age at that. She was not an ordinary 11 year old. Or 17 year old. As she got older, shit got better and worse. Things went from good and bad all the time. But she realized that in order to keep growing she gotta accept the bad things in life.
Middle school is a time and a phase that changes everyone. You're around different people, you have different teachers, little but surely a few responsibilities. But it was never anything that Starr couldn't handle. She was smart, and furious. At a young age she was always open for something new. Even though she hated it. Middle school changed Starr life forever. It was 6th grade year, the end of the first semester of 6th grade. I would say this time period was in December of 2012. Starr had done something that you never thought she would do. She betrayed her best friend, Shay. And most of all betrayed herself. Shay and Starr didn't have much in common, except keeping secrets from each other then telling the truth if either one found out after hearing from another person's mouth. Weird, right?! Right. But still, Starr didn't let that stop her. A few days before Christmas, Starr sent nude pictures to the guy her best friend Shay, had been crushing on. And you guys are probably thinking, why the fuck would she do such thing?! After she press send on them pictures, Nothing Was The Same. Her whole middle school career was over. Well at least that's what she thought. Those pictures had surfaced around the whole middle school within 24 hours. Starr's mom even got them. Which was probably a good thing for HER. She was embarrassed, but to me, I think that it was a good thing for her mother to know. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's kinda embarrassing to receive something of your child from students you don't even know. The next day Starr and her mom, (Mom name is May), went up to the school and immediately found out who, what, and why?! Starr had told May that the guy made her send those nudes. But when May had went up to the school, she found out the whole truth and not just her daughter's part. Every since then, May had looked at Starr different and nothing was ever the same.
