The next couple of days flew by. I was so busy catching up on coursework and squeezing in rehearsals that I hadn't seen Noah, although having his number meant we'd been sending each other the occasional text. And, in keeping with the gentlemanly alter ego that I'd invented for him in my head, he'd called me every night before bed.
Talking to him on the phone was strange at first. Without being able to see his facial expressions, his dry sense of humour had come off a bit blunt a couple of times, until I'd pictured him with a smirk on his face and a glint in his eyes.
"Can I come to watch your performance tomorrow?" he'd asked on Thursday night.
"Umm, I'm not sure they'd let you. Haven't you all officially left now?" I replied, squeezing a pimple in the mirror as I held the phone tucked under my chin.
"Yeah, you're probably right," he replied, sounding a little dejected. "It's just you're going to be away all weekend and I haven't seen much of you."
"Well I'm here now, you know where I live," I laughed.
"It's too late though, no?"
"Not really, I don't start until twelve tomorrow, remember?"
"I'll be there in half an hour," he replied, quickly hanging up and leaving me to giggling to myself.
True to his word, it wasn't even a full thirty minutes before my phone flashed with a text message.
'Look down x'
As I pulled open my curtains to see him stood leaning against his car on the street outside, I felt like a kid at Christmas. It had only been a couple of days since I'd last seen him, but knowing that Noah was downstairs made my heart flutter with excitement and I ran to the door to buzz him up.
Charlotte was still awake - it was only just past ten, after all - and she screamed when I burst out of my room and straight to the door.
"Christ, Abi, where's the fire?" she shrieked.
"Noah's here," I replied breathlessly, without offering any further explanation before I flung open the door and practically jumped into his arms.
I heard her laugh softly to herself, as she switched off the TV and got up to head to her bedroom.
"Nice to see you, Noah," she smiled as she passed us.
"You too, catch you in the morning," he quickly grinned back at her, as he scooped me up and began to carry me towards my bedroom.
Throwing me down onto the bed, Noah pulled off his jacket and boots then crashed down on top of me with his arms resting on each side of my head.
"How am I going to do a whole weekend without seeing you?" he smiled.
Lightly rubbing his lips across mine, I exhaled deeply, releasing the tension that had been building inside me since he'd first said he was coming over.
As his lips closed over mine I allowed myself to become consumed in his taste, his smell, the heat of his body over mine. When his tongue parted my lips gently, I moaned at the feeling of his warm mouth opening up for my exploration. Running my tongue lightly against his, the goose pimples that only Noah could cause began to rise on my skin. I could have ripped his clothes off there and then.
"Slow down," he laughed gently as he moved his mouth to my neck, at the same time as I pushed my hips harder against him. "We've got all night."
"I want you, now," I whispered, allowing my normal guard to drop as the desire for him built between my legs.
