"Let's get going. We need to find the others and let them know what we've figured out," Tamsin said, looking at Yuta for approval.

He nodded and followed her to the door. She took a deep breath as she placed her hand on the doorknob, slowly twisting it. She peeked out into the hallway to make sure the zombies were gone, and although it was semi dark and the fog still lingered, she was confident that they weren't anywhere near.

Blowing out a breath, she pushed open the door and stepped outside. Expecting Yuta to follow in silence, she was startled by a loud screech. Turning around, she saw Yuta stumbling back into the room, frantically flailing his arms as if he was trying to fight something off. Tamsin knitted her brow in confusion. There was nothing to be seen, yet the sheer panic written across his face showed the contrary. Fright consumed her, every cell in her body swelling with terror once again. With every step she took, she could feel her blood pressure rising, her breath quickening.

She closed the door behind her to block out Yuta's screams, hoping that whatever was in there with them wasn't as bad as the zombies lurking in the darkness.

"Yuta! What's happening?" She asked frantically, hurrying over to him.

"No! Stay away!" He demanded, his hands flying up briefly to stop her before returning to his frenzied state.

"Is it ghosts?" She questioned, wincing at the shaking in her voice.

Tamsin got her answer without Yuta speaking a single word. A sudden shift in atmosphere revealed the dark haired boy surrounded by flying bats. They were everywhere. Tamsin's eyes widened at the sight and stood frozen into place, unable to comprehend what was going on, and where the bats had come from.

Yuta still desperately tried to keep the bats off of him. It was obvious that he was scared of them getting tangled in his hair as he swatted at them from all sides. When Tamsin finally got a hold on herself, she tried to convince Yuta that he'd be okay. Bats didn't harm humans, after all. Bats getting tangled in hair was just a myth. When he didn't listen, she scanned the room for an object to help out her friend. An old single bed stood in the corner, a worn out pillow lying on top of it. Tamsin grabbed it and started swinging it around.

Yuta had curled up into a ball on the floor, covering his head with his hands. With his eyes closed, he rocked back and forth as he prayed for it to just be a bad dream.

"We need to get out of this room," Tamsin told Yuta, kneeling down beside him. "You have to get up."

Yuta shook his head without changing his position.

"Yuta! Let's go!" Tamsin said, louder this time as she whacked the bats flying above their heads again before standing up straight.

She dropped the pillow and grabbed onto her friend's upper arm with both hands. She was determined to get him out of there, even if it meant carrying him herself. Pulling on his arm with all the strength she could muster, Yuta finally gave in and let himself be dragged towards the door.

Not even thinking about what could be on the other side, her best friend's state of mind being her number one priority in that moment, Tamsin swung the door open. She pushed Yuta out before closing it behind them with a thud, locking the bats into the room. She looked around to see if they were alone and sighed quietly, thankful that they hadn't attracted anything their way.

Yuta finally dared to open his eyes and was relieved to see he was no longer being attacked by bats. He ran his hand through his hair, leaving it on top of his head for a moment as he stared into the distance, trying to grasp what had happened.

"Are you okay?" Tamsin whispered, her voice full of worry. She had never seen her best friend behave that way before and it made her feel uneasy, to say the least.
