Ten felt conflicted as he looked down at his hand, or more like where there should be one. He was freaking out about his current state and wanted help, but at the same time he knew there wasn't much anyone could help with. He didn't like to keep secrets from his girlfriend, but he didn't want her to worry about him possibly vanishing in thin air, either. Sighing, not knowing if it was the right thing to do, he decided to keep it to himself.

He continued to walk in silence, closely behind Crystal and followed her into the next room. As they realized where they were, their faces suddenly lit up. They were in the first room they had entered that night, the same room that led towards the entrance of the house.

Or so they thought.

The smiles on their faces faded as quickly as they had appeared when they realized the room looked different. The loose hanging fabric that had previously served as a doorway, was no longer there. It was just a wall now, and no way out.

"Fuck!" Ten cursed, running his fingers through his black hair and tugging at the strands in frustration. "We're never getting out of here."

"Don't say that," Crystal said in a soft voice, trying not to lose hope.

Looking around the room, she pointed at the window, one that wasn't boarded up like all the others.

"Maybe we can break it?"

Ten nodded. Maybe they could. He grabbed one of the candle holders from the table and walked towards the window. He was relieved to see his other hand had become solid again, so he could use both of his hands for extra strength. He swung the candle holder backwards and threw it as hard as he could against the glass. The sound that followed wasn't what they were expecting. Instead of glass shattering, they heard a thud where the holder landed on the floor.

Another 'fuck', along with other curse words, escaped Ten's lips as he angrily banged against the window with balled fists.

"Let us out of here!"

Crystal hurried over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing her cheek against his back.

"Shh," she hushed. "It's okay. We'll be fine as long as you keep your voice down."

He sighed, dropping his hands and placing them on hers.

"This shouldn't be happening," he said quietly, the frustration evident in his voice.

Crystal didn't say anything back, but instead focused on the hallway outside, hoping she wouldn't hear any footsteps coming their way.

He turned around, apologizing for losing his temper and briefly kissed her forehead. Crystal smiled at him, knowing he didn't mean to put them in danger by raising his voice. She watched him walk around the room before she focused back on the window. Reaching out, her fingers lingered across the glass. Why wouldn't it break? Were they really doomed to be in that damned house forever?

Before she could give it any more thought, Ten spoke up from behind her.

"Babe..." He said, his voice trailing off as he stared into the open coffin.

"What is it?" Crystal said, stepping away from the window, having no choice but to accept the fact that it wasn't a way out.

When she didn't get a reply, she walked over to him and followed his gaze, looking at the coffin.

"There's nothing in there?" She said, a puzzled look plastered on her face as she looked back at her boyfriend.

"Exactly," he replied, pointing at the red velvet cushion. "What happened to the doll?"
