Chapter 2: cuts and brusies

It is Monday morning and everyone has school so they all get up and get ready. They head out and meet each other at the entrance
A- hey
H- hey
Ja-hi
K-hi everyone

Annie's POV
When I walked up Hayden pulled me into a hug. But as soon as Kenzie came he dropped me to the ground and ran to her. 
A- I am going to do my locker bye guys.
I walk away with a lump in my throat.  I know Hayden likes Kenzie it is obvious. As I walk to my locker some on pushes me against the wall. It was Jenna. She gave me a few punches in the stomach along with pulling my hair, slapping me and kicking me. Then ruby pulls her off me.
R- are you ok
She puts her hand out and help me up
A- I think so
R- are you sure now. You look pretty bad
A- can you help me to the nurses please ruby
R- sure
Ruby helps me walk to the nurses office and the nurse cleans all of my cuts

Hayden's POV
Today is the day. I am going to ask Kenzie out. I will ask her at lunch everyone knows well not everyone. I didn't tell Annie. I know probably should but I don't think she will care but she is my best friend. The bell went for lunch and I went to the table we all usually sit at. I have a box in my hand and wait for everyone to come. Finally everyone arrives and sit down
H- guys umm I need to ask Kenzie something
K- what is it?
H- Mackenzie Ziegler will you be my girlfriend?
K- YES!
I open the box and give her the ring inside of it.

Annie's POV
When Hayden asked Kenzie I panicked so I just did this
A- I-I need water
And like that I run off. I see Jenna coming towards me and my heart drops. She starts to beat me up. After a few punches and kicks to the head everything went black.a couple hours later and I wake up in the nurses office with ruby there
A- where is everyone else?
R- they don't know this happened to you
I just start crying
R- what's wrong?
A- they don't like me do they?
R- of course they do
We just stay there for awhile and then I had to go back to class

Hayden's POV
Annie walks into class with bruises and cuts. She hands the teacher a note. When she comes down to the seat next to me she fires her bag onto the ground and doesn't look at me for the whole class. I feel like I have done something wrong but I don't know what I did wrong
