Chapter 16: the half truth

Annie's POV
Just as Kenzie was about to throw a punch at me Hayden grabbed her and held her back. She started to kick and scream in his arms so he kissed her to stop. I was in tears while I was saying all of these things.
K- let me at the brat.
A- what did I ever do to you Kenzie?
K- you got everything
A- I may have of got things but the life I have I hate it the things I go through and have gone through. Before my mam got divorced and passed away I had the best life. I was happy but now I am not because the things I go through are way worst then what you have gone through
K- then tell me everything you have gone through then if they are so bad
A- ok then you might want to take a seat it might take a while.
They all sat down eager to hear what I was about to say.
A- ok I will only tell from when my parents got divorced and my mom remarried and then when she passed away my stepdad started to abuse me and once he drugged me because I was home 1 minute late and he was drunk has that happened to you?
K- ......
A- then I was getting bullied and beaten up in school and the only person who would help me was ruby. Everyday I would get beat up and would come into class with more bruises to add to my collection I already had from my step dad. Did you ever go through that?
K- ......
A- then get this my best friend betrayed me and then is dating my friend and never told me. Let me guess it didn't happen to you?
K- .......
A- then Johnny found me on the floor of the bathroom in school after I cut my wrists and he is the only one who knows all of this.
K- ......
A- ooo then I got betrayed again when I was told that you and Hayden were just "friends" and I found out you weren't
K- ......
A- then I found out my nanny got murdered in her own house and I ran away.
K- ......
A- when I ran away I went to the beach because it was where me and my nanny would always go together. Then arms wrapped around me and they told me not to scream or they would shoot and put a gun up to my head. Then that night I was kidnapped. That's all you get about me since my parent have been divorced but there is more.
K- .....I didn't know you were going through all of that.....
A- that's because you never asked the only person that was there for me was Johnny and Jayden. You two were too busy kissing or doing couples stuff to see what I was going through.
I get up and leave and Connor follows.
C- wait Annie the deal is off I don't want to hurt you anymore so could we just be friends
A- yes I would like that
He hugs me. I am pretty happy that the deal is off but now I have no one to go the winter formal with.
