When Alex and his new friend talked outside on the front porch, Alex knows now that his unknown friend is... Well... "Was" a human being like him... He Doesn't know how he got in there but both of them think that ??? has been sucked into the gem, but they've started an alliance. They also set in some ground rules... After they set some ground rules, they went back in to see that Jj had told everybody that Boys will be sleeping in Alex's room; top bunk, bottom bunk, and two sleeping bags. While the girls sleep in Alex's sibling room, using four sleeping bags for all of them to sleep in. Except Shantae and Alex... They both slept in the couch downstairs, having all the privacy they can have.

Alex: *Yawning, he enfolded Shantae closely towards him*
Shantae: Alex...
Alex: I'm cold...
Shantae: *Tugging on the blanket, covering both of them...*
Alex: Best girlfriend ever...
Shantae: *Chuckling* Me just being a hero, Alex.
Alex: Yeah... Saving my butt like old times...
Shantae: Hmm... That's nice... *Falling back into deep slumber...*
???': So... How did you sleep?
Alex's mind: Oh my god...
???': Having fun time I see?
Alex's mind: Do you like to do this?

???: *Appearing outta nowhere, looking at Shantae* Wow... you got lucky pal...
Alex's mind: Don't get any ideas...
???: I won't, promise! Besides, we're pals. Remember?
Alex's mind: I know it's just... She's my first girlfriend... and... I don't wanna lose that...
???: I know how that feels, trust me...
Alex's mind: How?
???: It's okay if you don't believe me...
Alex's mind: You said it yourself... We're pals...
???: Wow... I feel so cared for...
Alex's mind: Well, since you're stuck with me, i'd rather just make a friend.

Shantae: *Turning around, she hugged Alex* Don't get me wrong... You're just so soft...
???: Whoa... She do that all the time?
Alex's mind: It's... cute...
Shantae: Alex?
Alex: Yeah?
Shantae: You're still my teddy bear right?
Alex: Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Shantae: *Giggling her warm, natural giggle, making Alex's heart melt*
???: AWW!!!
